    Nice work! I do see a problem, putting a smaller steering wheel on a car with bigger tyres that doesn't have power steering might be a small issue. I switched from the 12x4 to 14x6, 155 to 165, and I feel the difference on the stock steering...

    • @32Builds
      @32Builds  Před 3 lety

      Damn! I guess that's part of the learning process tho, thanks for the heads up! I've driven some pretty heavy no-power-steering cars tho - usually doesn't matter too bad when you're not tryna park. Cheers mate!

    • @FMuscleZ28
      @FMuscleZ28 Před 3 lety

      Reversing in a parking is the worst for me. You'll never feel it at speed.
      At least you won't be hitting the horn while looking back to reverse like I kept doing for the first few months of ownership.

  • @adelaideinvigilation5230

    the part you printed is the fully plastic not just the shell? Reason is the printing that I have seen has a honeycomb inner and then a coating on either side.

    • @32Builds
      @32Builds  Před 3 lety

      Yeah 100% in-fill, so it is solid plastic :)

    5:12 *just a passing thought mate, i noticed you have cad skills and a 3d printer which lead me to ponder the idea of creating a mold for that rubber plate that attache's to the firewall. you could then do sillicon casts and possibly even sell them as spares ? who knows man, you could potentially make million$$$ lol ;)

    Hey mate. This is a great series of videos. I’m about to start restoring a 120Y with zero experience so these clips are really useful to get an idea of what’s involved along the way.
    The biggest thing I worry about is forgetting how things go back together or the sequence that they need to go back together. How do you remember that stuff?
    Peace

    I loved your video friend. I am doing a degree project on this, and if it is not a problem I would be interested in knowing more about the computer-assisted drawing that you use for the explanation, do you think it is possible to do it?

      Only problem is, I printed so many and didn't end up getting the right dimensions even by the end. It was a fun side project tho. Had to sand it to fit :/ Have you considered shaping a piece of nylon from bunnings? Or using a poly bush? as per the 1200 wiki?

      @32Builds  Před 3 lety
