How does the built in mode S transponder know what the altitude is?

The tailBeaconX has an integrated aviation GPS. This provides the altitude position.

@@ssassholdings4013 no it requires alt info from the control head, which has a static port, or an efis. I confirmed this with uavionix.

How do you enter your squawk code

You need to buy a head controler unit. AV-20 or AV-30.
