    Loved your video! We have been researching this for a couple years and also have decided to purchase a new tiffin allegro 34pa. We are so excited, we are ordering it next week so it will be a 2017 model, the only thing we didn't like was the location of the tv but we were told the 2017 model has some new up grades hopefully the tv will be across from the couch instead, being as we want the computer workstation hopefully the tv will be there n a " televator" .... Well enough rambling , clear skies , Steve

      You are so welcome. We have really enjoyed our Tiffin and we felt the same about the quality. We have a 31SA and the size is just right for us. There are times that the extra bed size in the 32SA or the extra bathroom in the 36LA would be nice but when you get into tight parks we are sure glad to be at 32 total feel. We don't have an RV yet but have been looking for 15 years or so. No kidding lol. I am glad you mentioned the carpet. I do not want ANY capreting if we can help it. LIke you said, it gets dirty, allergies, dogs, etc.. Insulation is really important because I want it to be as quite as possible. Also, we want it sturdy enough that it won't fly around on the highway. We are definitely set on a class A between 34-36 feet. New. So now we have to narrow down make & model. It most likely will be at LEAST 1 year or maybe 2 years before we finally get one. Great video :) Melody

    Good video. While watching, I wondered how you ever found a coach that meets your needs without getting something customized. Did you come up with a priority list of these items you mentioned or did you find a coach that meets all of your needs. After looking at many manufacturers and a hundred or so models, we cannot find something that meets all of our needs and have started a priority list. Enjoy your adventures!

    • @averagecampers
      @averagecampers  Před 7 lety

      That is a great question Barry. We spent years going to RV shows looking for the perfect fit. Unfortunately, a perfect fit does not exist. We think that you will find many of your must haves become wish you hadn't after living in your coach. Perfect example is a washing machine. We are doing just fine without one and really appreciate having a smaller coach which fits into many more campgrounds. Don't hesitate to bounce your ideas off of us. We would be happy to help ground your decision making process. Thank you for your comment and thank you for watching! Good luck with your search Barry!

    Great video, did you consider diesel?

    • @averagecampers
      @averagecampers  Před 8 lety

      We did consider diesel but, based on the added cost and average length of ownership (3-4 years), gas was a more attractive deal for our needs. There are so many benefits to diesel if you plan on keeping your rig through it's lifespan but, many trade well before. If you trade early you can lose your butt on a diesel rig :) Thanks for watching Ray !

    Okay, so what you're really talking about is a motorhome, not an RV. The phrase "RV" refers to everything from a four-wheeler to a swamp buggy, including travel trailers, pop-up tent campers, dirt bikes, and more. A motorhome is only one small part of that.

    • @averagecampers
      @averagecampers  Před 8 lety +1

      We would have to say Tiffin, Newmar and Holiday Rambler. Both use high quality materials and have a long history of production. There are others such as Fleetwood. Build quality is not as good but, the price can be more attractive. You might consider used if the price is a sticking point. Find the top model for the year you are looking for and you should be in good shape. Hope this helps a bit.

    all drawers have 1/4 in plywood. If all the doors were solid the trailer would weight an extra ton. there goes your gas mileage.

    • @averagecampers
      @averagecampers  Před 7 lety

      Not all drawers. We have seen a significant difference between manufacturers. I guess if a buyers focus is to save a few bucks on gas the thinner wood would be preferable and maybe choosing a much smaller rig. We plan to live full time in our rig and would like it to last longer than just a few trips on the weekend over the years of ownership. Thanks for watching Joe!

    Made me think...how little the rv industry have changed in the last 40-50 years.
    most invest nothing in engeneering (specially egronomics and human engineering)
    Same ol' materials zero high tech.
    Compare that to the automotive industry.

    • @averagecampers
      @averagecampers  Před 6 lety
