    And a tip for anyone about gold foil (or even glitter in dual forms)...pick your thickest clear base coat or top coat and paint a generous layer (but not enough to create pooling) and lay the foil or glitter how u want. Then cure it in the form. THEN go ahead on top of that with your poly gel and build the nail how you want before laying on your finger. The foil or glitter wont budge and will be perfectly set on top of the nail under a thin coat of top or base coat when you remove the form.

    • @vicsnailtips
      @vicsnailtips  Před 3 lety +10

      Thank you for this tip. Curing in the foil would've been so much easier than hoping it would stay in place ahahah 💓

    • @Tastykake83
      @Tastykake83 Před 3 lety +3

      Oh I know lol I did it like that many times before I learned the other way and started curing it in a layer of top or base coat first. It just was one of those "duh, of course!" Moments for me. Lmao so I get it lol

    You have to rough up the tips before applying polygel on top if not it can end up separating but I think it’ll adhere easier if you take off the shine . I had them separate with the lazy girl method from not removing the shine

  • @BobaSweetT
    @BobaSweetT Před rokem

    This is exactly what I was looking for! I’ve done poly gel only a few times now. First I tried using my full cover tips in place of the dual forms but they started breaking in a few days and the underside was a bulky mess. Then I tried again and they broke. Then I tried my regular tips and they still ended up breaking I guess bc I didn’t put enough glue to keep the tips on. I also wasn’t happy with the shape on the top. So I was wondering if this method would work and wanted to see before I go through the trouble of trying again. I assume my problem is just that I’m learning but I also feel like I want to try another brand. Right now I’m using Morovan. I will definitely be trying this method next.

    Think i need to use the form for flat nail beds

      My pointer finger did the same thing, I wouldve mentioned it but it noticed it after I filmed. I definitely needed more product toward the tip for that one. But I agree, using forms instead of tips might be better for flat nail beds since tips are typically curved!!

    I tried the tip and duel form trick, sadly even after buffing the shine off my tips my poly gel refused to stick down, i had so much air bubbles so i had to try and press them down hard in order to get it all smooth under the lamp. Anyone else dealing with that too?

    Really beautiful thanks❣️, I have this worry, am to start doing polygel nails and I Wonder if doing a long extension of polygel on natural nail plate won't it break ins few days? Because I think polygel is not that a strong product. Or does this your method really Helps in making the nails last longer. Thank you
