It's a great good a.c as soon as I cut mines on cold air came out ,strong cold air and we had it for more then 3 years know
I have a bunch of these models at my house and they do really well in keeping the house cool on a hot day. Nice simple unit
They work well
Good review, I am looking to add a similar unit to my house. FL we get the heat.
I have had mine for a month or so and am very pleased. My 11 x 11 room is quite comfortable, the unit is quiet and energy efficient. How long it lasts is another strory1 So far, so good
This unit works great. We have two of them
This unit saved me during summer in NYC, and costed less than $200. Great bang for your buck.
Thanks for watching
So just to ask, would you recommend this for any everyday use to keep a room cool or just in spurts of time to cool a room down a little bit?
Tonic Tosser2001 what does that mean ?
I am thinking to buy this for my kitchen small window open up to 23 by 17.. hope this will work. Is this hard to install? How many at the back stick outside?
It was pretty easy to install. It probably hangs out the window by about a foot.
would bugs come in from the outside if the unit is off?
no. it is like all window unit air conditioners the outside is separated with the air duct so nothing comes in.
How much do you spend more on electricity if you use this for all summer long? On a montly basis estimate please.
The sticker on my unit i got today from Lowes said it has an average yearly energy cost of $41 but can vary based on rates in your area, and if it's used at peak times.
That's a silly question. It depends how hot the day is, & if every day is hot, how humid it is (humidity makes it run longer), & how cool you set it. Your AC's compressor will cycle on when the room gets hot & cycle off when it cools it down. It. The cooler you set it, the longer it will run. The hotter it is outside, the longer it will run. It won't need to cycle on as much in a small room, but will need to stay on longer to cool a larger room, or when it's very humid. But it also removes the humidity, which makes it feel cooler & more comfortable. This unit draws around 430-450 watts when is set on high with the compressor running. It would only stay on all the time if it's above 90F outside, or you're trying to cool a very large room with this small unit. Will it be 90F every day & night for the whole billing month? People pay anywhere from 10 to 25 cents per KWH for their electricity. It cost me about $45/mo. to cool the middle of my apartment with this in July, in a humid area near the Great Lakes.
So there isn’t an actual drain plug on this unit? It’s just meant to collect the condensation and drip if angled?
Have not noticed a drain plug anywhere. I believe (like most air conditioners) that the water tends to drain out through a provision designed for it.
I had this same exact air conditioner only for a month and it made a loud noise and just stopped working it turns on but no air blows out i have no idea why this happened but it just stopped blowing out the air
I'm not sure..maybe something let go internally
Is there a way I can use a can of 134b to refill?
Not to my knowledge
When you install the ac unit, did you remove the styrofoam? There is styrofoam that you can see and it seems like it shouldn’t be there
I looked at this as well and it may be there to help direct the airflow.
I watched a video where a woman did a deep clean of the inside if the air conditioner and the Styrofoam was inside still. I wanted to remove it too, but I guess it's there to stabilize the motor🤷♀️
Does it fit any kinda window?
It should as long as the opening is big enough.
No drain????
Where does this thing drain from?!
It's underneath like most air conditioners
Alexander Sanders was there a condensation plug you had to remove for the water to drain?
actually these units drip the water outside by tilting it slightly outwards.
What if your window is bigger than that?
You may need to get bigger expandable sides.
Energy Star rated yes?
Yes this unit is Energy Star rated. It works very well
I just got this unit today, and no it's not Energy Star rated but the SEER rating is 11.1 which is one tenth under the 2014 energy star guidelines of an 11.2 SEER rating, so best your gonna get at this price point, and I made sure to call my brother who is a certified AC and refrigeration tech, and at the 11.2 SEER rating, and 5,000 BTU he said that it should not be that much difference from an Energy Star rated unit with a 11.2 -11.5 SEER rating.
Here is the Lows website which says it is not in the specs, and here is what a SEER rating is just in case you are not sure what that means.

Enough of the nonsense. Shut up.
would you say it's loud?
It's not too bad. It isn't that loud
I’m gonna get one just incase my house’s built in AC starts acting up
