It's lovely to be able to sit outside your van and just relax. It's a rare treat when you're touring and such a beautiful outlook too. You're definitely right about the cost of campsites here in the UK. Most now around £30 and we're even charged £25 a night for one in Scotland. It was with EHU but when we told them we didn't need it. They replied It's still £25 because it's provided! 😬🐕🚙
Yes a lot to learn I don’t think the value is seen to a local area - we’re parked up in Donegal 0.33 euro per hour so that 2.4 per day !!! That’s all We will be here two days - buying food / had drinks / lunches - they understand the value that we bring Charge 25 per night you don’t feel like spending in the local shop Rant over lol
It always makes me chuckle a little when Europeans refer to teeny tiny patches of trees as “forests”, when 86°F (30°C) is considered “hot”, and how a “long” drive is a mere 2 hrs. 😊

With regard to the outside table, we use our internal table outside by using a fold out Christmas tree stand in which I have put a hole in each leg and use tent pegs to hold it down.

Aires are generally run by the local council, the aim being to encourage tourists to shop/eat locally. Some of them don't encourage "camping behaviour" like setting up a table and chairs.
Yep I think it works to generally at the edge of towns and villages - we rarely put our chairs out but it seemed ok here as many wee doing the same I guess due to the space. I think every other Aire as you say didn’t do it - thanks for watching

Can understand why you would want to return. We are expecting 32deg tomorrow Sunday 33 Monday 34 Tuesday. Not a fan of the hot weather especially if humidity high. Thankfully late change Tuesday. What a lovely drive as well as the very nice aire, the birds the water and the fish.... but the heat was not much fun!!! Right now here in Buenos Aires we are going through a heat wave, very difficult to rest at night.. mustn't complain as we are in summer...Keep safe....
Yes I like so much heat and always great to have sun on your back but then when it gets a dead heat and still it can be over powering ….I hope you can escape from it a little Thank you as ever for watching and commenting

Lovely scenery and flowers on the canal stop. We stop at campsites that have a pool when it gets that hot and even those are far cheaper than the UK.
