Your tattoo remembering the people who gave you lifesaving care, in your family’s handwriting, is quite special.
Your family rocks. The amount of love and compassion that I saw in your family last year, and even before and after, is not quite the norm. Yes many other families are loving, but yours is so tight. And, through them being who they are, and you being who you are, so many of us love you as well.
Hey Jessica, don’t be disappointed at where you think you should be in terms of your recovery. Just remember of the chemo that you had and what it did to you as it was killing the cancer. I had 15 months worth of chemo on and off and it took me two years to get back to about 95% of myself. And most of that getting back to I was doing training. So you’re fine. You’re looking great and each day you’re getting better stronger recovering and getting back to what will be the new normal.❤

My cancer was 12 years ago. The cancerversity always take me back in time. It is completely natural for the memories to reappear. Hang in there.
I would love to say those semi and annual oncology scans and appointments get less stressful, but my husband is 4 years in and they're still nerve wracking. You have handled all of this like a warrior. Thinking of you and your results.

i love the tattoo idea that's really special. congrats on making your one year anniversary doing so well. it takes time to recover from cancer treatments. i know ppl that it took nearly 2 yrs to be back to normal and even then in some ways they still have some weakness. mind u these were older folks not young like u but it takes such a toll and u had every bad side effect possible. so cut yourself some slack and give it time. u will bounce back fully. glad u enjoyed a girls night and got some time with piper. be blessed.

It’s a lot to process when you’ve had year like you’ve had. It’s good you’re making progress towards good health. Get the anxiety, I get it every time I drive past the hospitals where we went for my family member’s cancer treatment, just brings it back, all the stress, anxiety, test etc. Glad you marked your anniversary with a personal present to you and your family. ❤

I completely understand the stress of sitting in that parking lot. It's very hard to walk in those doors as well. And unfortunately, I have what looks like many more trips to my own parking lot and those same doors after not so good news recently on my own one year anniversary. 😔 But, I will figure out how to keep moving through the challenges and looking for the good, just like you do, Jess! I absolutely love the tattoo, and teared up for a second time when you talked about it after listening to your Mom read your IG post about it in her vlog. ❤ I raise a virtual glass of cheer to your steady, successful recovery, and the warmth and support of family and friends... and doggos. 😄 Thanks for another glimpse into your life, Jess! 😊💞

Jessica, your tattoo looks cute. I congratulate you on your one year Cancer anniversary. Cancer is a very stressful disease and having going alone to the hospital when you are still very young can be distressing because you never know what your oncologist is going to say. Remember that you will get better everyday!

They don't provide a manual as we recover and none of us bounce back at the same timelines.
We just learn to adapt and don't let it hold us down.

I had bladder cancer in 2015 and am still getting tested every 6 months because it was so aggressive. We tried 1 year last year and they found a growth, so far so good but back to every 6 months never a year again. Just trust your feelings but don't let it stop you from anything,

I l❤ve your tattoo and I got emotional when you and your mom explained it. I would love to get one for my mom, dad and favorite aunt who are now all have passed. 3 roses 🌹 for each one and a meaning for each color. Pink for my aunt, yellow for my mom and blue for my dad. We shall see. You are one rocking young lady and inspire me every day and I am considerably older than you 😂. Keep keeping on Jess.
