    Simon Lizotte wowed the locals during his visit to New Zealand for the National Disc Golf Champs. The world distance record holder did not disappoint, with his cannon for an arm, and threw shots on lines no one else at the tournament could hope to emulate. Despite his distance he was not able to overcome the superbly consistent Feldberg, who only made three small errors all weekend.
    Simon - when you were in Australia, you said wanted to know what you had to do to beat Paul. Well, after watching you for a full day, I can tell you exactly how you can achieve that goal, in a very short timeframe. So, get my number from Dave, and give me a call. Thanks for visiting, and best of luck for the season!
    Thanks again to Lance Hartwell for the groovy handpan music recorded especially for these videos.

    I think if he worked really hard to perfect his form he may be able to get another 2 feet out of his throws

      björn bäsecke That's the direct audio capture, he actually makes a sonic boom every time he does a 360 throw.

    He turns his body so far in his reach back and the rest of his throw is so smooth. Definitely some things to think about this upcoming season

    I love the look on his face after he throws sometimes. Even he seems surprised how far he can throw.

    Is this the Bay of Islands? It looks familiar. Did 3 month trip around the North and Big Island a couple of years ago. Thanks for the slo-mo. His arm remains behind until it goes straight and then his upper body and shoulder jerk the whole arm across his chest and he whips the disc out wicked fast as his upper torso keeps rotating. Amazing body mechanics.

    When I saw "240 FPS"... I also thought it could mean 240 feet per second too. I wonder, at the point of release, what the MPH of the disc is?

    • @Ryskimus
      @Ryskimus Před 9 lety

      Depends on who is throwing it, but these guys are around 70-80mph with their biggest throws.

    • @brekkoh
      @brekkoh Před 9 lety

      Lizotte's record speed at release is 144 kmh (89.5 mph). So only 131 feet per second, close though!
