Please try to see the entire video without forwarding it to understand apply the same settings on your Yamaha AV Receiver. I found this is extremely changed audio output from the device and it's amazing while even listening to songs and especially for watching movies.

If you want thumping one then go with Sony or even Yamaha is also good one

Hi Sir, i also have mi tv(4a pro), i am not happy with the amazon and netflix's sound output, its kind of less in both apps compared to youtube. Do you think fire tv stick will make a difference and unlock dolby surround? Do you think it will make a major difference?
Yes you need fire tv 4K for great output

That is nominal preset for measurement. Yamaha made these options available to use. Even you can try changing it to find any difference in between.
Sometimes engineers only do what they have been taught to do. So we need to apply some settings by our own to feel the sound as per our home arrangement and space.
Sir, What is your thought on 3072 when compared to 1840? Is it really worth for the extra 25K(approx)? Asking just because am truly amazed by the quality of sound with your theater settings in this video. Thanks in advance...
Superb. Yes sound quality is really good but there are only two best features in 3072 which are YAPO and Bluetooth. If you want to save the cost then go with 1840 else both have same amplifier circuit inside.

which application on you Android TV play 5.1 sound ?
Am not getting 5.1 on YHT through eARC / digital out... getting stereo only.
Played 5.1 movies from Prime videos app but no help...
Amplifier it self converts 2.1 into 5.1 channel. If you have HDMi play over then it should be more clear and crystal.
Just make sure all 5 speakers are on and set to the correct mode where voice (vocal) can come from centre speaker and then the rest from the other speakers.

It is Dolby atmos so it separate the sounds from the HD and 4K available movies.
Your suggested setting may not work for every listener, because of different room sizes. Your distance settings are confusing also. You have set front speakers to 2' and surround set to 16',sub to 10'.Are you seat just in front of your system with sub behind ?

Hello sir, i have the same model(brand new) but when i connect from hdmi ARC output to eARC hdmi on tv, after the "home theater connected" message on the tv, the screen goes black(blank) with no setup options. Do you have any suggestion on how to solve this so i can access the setup from my TV?(the TV is also brand new). Thank you for your support!
Connect ARC from Yamaha to your another HDMI port. Do not connect to EARC that might be the problem to understand both the system whom to take over.

You have to change your Input to the valid connected port number. If you are connected to the HDMI 1 at the Yamaha change the Input to HDMI1 or connected to other ports like RCA, then select desired Input from Yamaha, you will get the sound from that source.
So how does the "Distance" setting work? You enter in how many feet the speakers are away from your listening position?
It is auto setup by the room dimensions. Basically if it is set for 10 to 15 meter range. Then if you set the distance then you will get a bit louder sound from the set speakers.

If your TV has ARC HDMI port then you can use that as monitor to see Yamaha menu direct on the TV

I strongly feel there are Carbon particles in the connection cables. You can try to use WD40 to clean the terminals or replace the speaker connection cables. Also replace 3.5 mm stereo connection cable or check the HDMI cable (or use branded or good quality)
Does it support Dolby vision passthrough? I have LG OLED and nvidia shield. Will it pass through Dolby vision to my TV or I will only get HDR 10?

is it normal that volume goes low when you connect this sound system ?? I mean earlier with my TV speaker or Soundbar, with a volume 25 it was good enough but now i have to increase atleast to 45 to get same level of sound.. Is there any settings i am missing??
It looks like some other device overwrite the settings of sound or any of cable or socket gone faulty.
Please check one by one. Try another cable to connect devices.

On audio 1 have no icons in the display. In the store they have all on it. HDMI 1 shows them but it seems that the sound is not good the back speakers are making a low noise sound. So I thought I should buy 3mm cables. The cables in the package I use looks like sheep and bad. Do you understand my problem. Should I use the optical cable also? Or only hdmiarc?

I don’t think so. Your YAPO microphone will be auto adjust the sound settings as per your room and environment.

These are same settings you can use for optical lead to.
Make sure speakers are mounted to cover entire room. You can also find Yamaha application for android or apple devices to check how to connect the devices.

Both are the different brands and different outputs.
Sony is the best no doubt for high bass but Yamaha has crystal clear vocal sound and balanced musical sounds.
Depending upon you which thing is prior to you.
Yamaha has 100 rms output for all the speakers and 200 watts for sub woofer.

If you are bass lover then go for Sony and if you like crisp and balance vocal sounds, please pick Yamaha.

Instead of doing this if your reciver has a mic port if U plug the Yamaha microphone into the reciver it calibrates the speakers to your room for U.

Unknowingly, I have disable the surround i.e. 5.1 surround. Can you help how to enable back on the receiver?
Ex: With 5 stereo program all speakers works, with other DSP only front speakers are working, no sound from Center and rear speakers. Not sure what I did change…..

Let’s see if that works, press Yellow button on the remote control. Then press it multiple times until you see 5 Ch Stereo.

That is totally up to you and your setup environment and depending upon the video or song situation. You can always make sure to turn on 5.1 channel then you will feel the difference.
Please tell me without usb port and Bluetooth option how we can play MP3 song in this.
You can connect Bluetooth device to the the aux port. Buy any good one Bluetooth receiver as I have video for one of Bluetooth device (launching soon) which can help.
Then you can play songs from the phone directly.

Even you change to any settings, you will still clearly hear dialogues from the speakers very clearly.

Finally my home theater got life.. though i couldn't see ur equalizer settings properly on the video. Also 1 more thing my general volume is always in - and if i move it to 0 or in + it becomes too noisy.. is there something wrong with my system?
Looks there is some issue with your amplifier circuit. If there is noise, then also check the cable connection sometime if cable is loose or broken and if any power cable is lying near to the system wires

I m using denon 5.2.2 avr with taga harmony 607 with 2 top( ceiling speakers) at current no woofer because its bass is already enough
i also tried some experiments like you but belive me netral ( default) settings provide amazing sound
Just try to put all front and rear channel at sane height
I put them on 8 feet with little angled towards room centre and it provide amazing output quality in both movies and music. Mostly i use music only thats why planing to add one more woofer

The first thing:Yamaha 1840 doesn't support Dolby Atmos.Second:You Tube streaming basically 2 channel only.
Yes it is Dolby sound not Dolby Atmos.
Even you play CZcams from your HDMI or from stereo channel it will decode to 5.1 channel output by Yamaha automatically

Yes you can try that. If room is small then change speaker distances and frequency to get the best output

Yes, you can connect external Bluetooth device to the receiver. Sound is really loud and clear with these 4 inch speakers which came by the time of purchase. You can connect bigger speakers too

@@takanimpu4997 HDMI always the best for connectivity but if you are using 3.5 mm for output, Yamaha will encode it and convert into 5.1
I m little bit not agreed with this set up. Speakers should set small only in tower speakers it can set large but small are preferable. Crossover also depend on speakers may 80 or 120 CO. And all r depend upon room size. So this Callibration may not fit for others. speakers set small are safe and suggested. Pl do not feel bad every one have different teste.
Thanks for the sharing. And I do agree with your concerns. It is completely depending upon the room size and it fits perfectly with my room arrangement. If the room is only for tv and speakers then it should be definitely different settings to apply.
I am really glad you pointed out this one but you can have try as the speaker dimensions matters whether they are big or small like up to 4 inch are small and 6” and above are count as large speakers.

Everything ok but why virtual front cinema switched on if you are keeping suuround speakers in front of u you can switched on but if it is back of you then should not switched on.
If you want more bass and clear sound effects keep cross over at 80 to 100. Then u want more bass increase volume trim in that increase input and bass trim then you will feel like anything
