    es.wikipedia.o...
    Wikipedia gives the following history.
    After the conquest of the Balearic Islands by Jaime I the Conqueror , the monarch handed over the estate to his uncle Nuño de Rosellón , who in turn sold it to the Moorish Ben-Abet family. Later it passed through several hands, until it belonged to the Zaforteza family, its current owners.
    The family home was built in the 15th century , while a rear wing was added in the 17th century , and the baroque- style façade is from the 18th century . In the courtyard of the house there is a fountain with a sculpture of a boy and a fish. The gardens are located on the back of the building, which features a cistern covered by a barrel vault and a pergola with 72 columns and 24 hydras stone interspersed suppliers, whose water falls down the slope of the ground to an orchard of orange trees .
    In the 19th century , a new landscaped garden was added , where a lake populated by water lilies and surrounded by palm trees and bamboos stands out.

      We were surprised how beautiful it was. Anita loved the flowers, especially the wisteria.

    Visited these gardens on a boiling hot day in July 2019. We sat having a cool drink overlooking the big pond, listening to relaxing piano music. It was a wonderful place and being a gardener I enjoyed every minute. Cant wait to go back once all the restrictions are lifted and travel is back to some kind of normal. I miss Mallorca so much.

      Unfortunately, I have a day job, and only have time at the weekend, if the weather is fine.

      A beautiful, paceful place. Somewhere to go and lose yourslf in thought or just to read a book.

    We always pass it on the way to Soller and for some reason I’ve always been under the impression it was closed. Definitely visiting when we go in September

      We have tried to go in the past and it has been closed. It is important to check their opening times, they are not open every day at the moment.

    Looks a nice day out there. Thanks for showing it to us. Do you know what the admission price is for non-residents by any chance?

    • @SteveandAnitainMallorca
      @SteveandAnitainMallorca  Před 3 lety

      It was 7.50 for adults and 5 euros for residents. There are other concessions for groups, etc.
