  • “I Wonder What She's Doing Tonight”, by California doo-wop/pop band Barry (De Vorzon) & The Tamerlanes in 1963, peaked at #21 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and #23 on Billboard's "Hot R&B Singles chart. The song did considerably better in the New York metropolitan market. It was the group’s only big hit that would make them fall into the ranks of one-hit wonders. Lead vocals Barry DeVorzon, who had been writing songs and recording since 1957, went on to write movie and television scores after the group ended in 1964. The song was initially slated for The Cascades, but they rejected the composition. A different song with the same "I Wonder What She's Doing Tonight" title was recorded by Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart in 1967.
