    Thanks for the video. I was unsure which WiFi throttle to go with, but this seals the deal for me. Happy thanksgiving!

    Question?
    I have Green Tortoise switch machines and an MRC prodegy advance2 DCC system, with HO Peco electrofrog 83 turnouts.
    What accessory decoder works well with both to switch them via the MRC controller?
    (No toggle switches used)

    Really enjoyed this technique....I too hate wiring. I'm hoping there will eventually be an easier way to install lighting soon. Even using woodland scenic just lights gets very expensive after a while. I don't care how easy it is.

    Hi our club is looking at getting one of these units for our new exhibition layout (gaugemaster system in the UK). Before we order one could you tell me how secure is the system against unauthorised access from say a none club member who might be viewing the layout at a show? Kind regards Dave.

    I am reminded once again, "To err is human. To royally screw things up requires a computer." New layout in somewhat progress, but DC, multiple throttles on one supply, I have no wifi devices. Things like this, and the attitude it's a necessity, don't add to the hobby, the cost is killing it.

    That's an interesting system but I got to give a shout out to the Ring Engineering Direct Radio control system.

    Thanks, James, for this great look into MRC Prodigy Wifi functions. After watching your last video several months ago about Prodigy Wifi, I went out and bought one. But I still need help to figure something out. I have been wanting to do some speed matching for locomotive consists. Do you know where on the Engine Driver app that I can tweak my locomotive speeds by adjusting the CVs for the speed steps to change the default speed settings?

      I don't think CVs can be controlled in engine driver.

    does this require use of a computer for JMRI, along with the wifi adapter?

    • @jlwii2000
      @jlwii2000  Před 6 lety +1

      nope

    • @GarretLarson
      @GarretLarson Před 6 lety

      so If you have NCE, guess you would have to use the USB adapter, then a computer, and connected wireless router to use android/apple devices with the apps, but no easier way. That's the way I have it now. Seems I went with the wrong system and MRC is making more advances and NCE is.

    Do you have to have the mrc throttle or can I use it on other throttles like digitrax or nce

    How about reviewing the new RailPro with DCC? Able to run on DC or DCC layouts.

    what happened to just running trains does everything have to be such a pain need years of training to run them old days put on track turn power on and run simple big money on this NEW JUNK

      Yes, there’s too much computer screen stuff now. The computer is doing the driving, automatic block detection etc. I may just get the Digitrax Zephyr controller which has a control handle more like you’d get in a train. I know I’d get much more fun out of driving the trains.
