Welsh Highland Railway 100th Anniversary Gala

Over the weekend of the 30th and 31st of July 2022 the Welsh Highland Railway hosted an event to celebrate the opening of the Dinas-South Snowdon (now Rhyd Ddu) section of the WHR. So the event was focused around heritage trains running along this section of line. There was also a Caernarfon-Dinas shuttle service, footplate rides at Dinas and a small model railway.
The locos in service were:
Original WHR loco Russel, Operating Heritage Trains
Ffestiniog Railway George England Palmerston, Operating Heritage Trains
WHR NG16 87, Operating the Caernarfon-Dinas Shuttle
Quarry Hunslet Hugh Napier, Offering Footplate Rides
Lynton and Barnstaple Manning Wardle Lyd, Offering Footplate Rides
