True crime and sports intersect in a docuseries that examines global controversies and scandals with firsthand accounts from those involved. - Zábava
Every single episode had me either in tears or just sitting here open mouthed.
As a south african who remember Hansie I truly felt that episode was made with no biast and truly showed Hansie as the man we remember him to be. We still adore him and hy was yster man.
I wish there was not way of having a season 2 of this but we all know the world of sport is still under so much corruption that Netflix just has to make one.
this was really an exceptional sport docuseries!
Netflix please make a season 2 . I thoroughly enjoyed every episode.
They can ask Frank Vizcarra about his “19 goals” his first season with the San Diego Soccers! How he was so good he said “I DIDNT EVEN KNOW I WAS THIS GOOD” but ended up at Mc Donalds for 25 years! HE WAS BETTER AT FAST FOOD THAN GOALS APPARENTLY 🤷♂️
definitely
I swear Netflix makes the best documentaries.
Very true, and their series are also great but the films are disappointing most of the time unfortunately..
@@Guillermo_Carratero Facts ..My food gets cold trying to find something worth watching 😂😂😂
But makes the worst shows
you have never seen a good documentary then. netflix is full of amateur documentaries with zero insight. Cutting images with interviews is lazy
@@moviefan700 Yea some of them are good but they are mostly medicore/bad imo.
Life ruined for $20.000. 1 year from being legal millionaires.
That was so sad. I know he regrets that every single day of his life.
Lies again? Hello DBS
Who? hedake?, he wasn't good enough for NBA he didn't get caught till 97, he failed to make the NBA in 94
$20,000 for those actually on the court while the ring leader makes millions. Its so sad. Careers destroyed for peanuts.
@@ymcghee40 same shit in the NBA
Feels a bit like the Untold series, looking good.
Surprised to see Hansie Cronje in this but his story has to be told. His case is the 1st time I've ever heard of and subsequently learned about match fixing and how it works. Looking forward.
Like my man Frank Lopez always said:
"NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE OTHER GUY'S GREED!!"
-Everyone crying in their interviews
-Luciano Moggi *smokes cigar*
Since this is made by the people that made "don't f with cats" I'm definitely watching lol
Omg yes- 😭
What's that one about?
I just finished watching bad sport, the last episode was heartbreaking 😢 💔
@@MsMichaela999 don't f with cats is about a killer who only got noticed because he killed a cat online
Interesting... dfwc is one of the many things waiting for me in my Netflix queue, but it didn't draw me more than anything else... judging by the response your comment has gotten, it's a good one.
Every episode was good but the Need for Weed one is a masterpiece.
Randy Lanier's life is straight up an 80s drugs movie with racecars, bikinis, cocaine and the FBI 😂
It was a movie bro 🤣🤣🤣
Just watched it. It was something out of a movie story. Too good and horroble to be true. But it happened. He said "it just plants! " I got shivers
@@Slenazika
But it’s just a plant at the end of the day
Amazing the old Miami skyline before uptick in tax free economy (with representation)
watching this episode i totally forgot it was a series about sport crimes , that is how awesome it was. and right through I was like "Ronald Reagan was an idiot , it was just weed" but damn what a life they lived . I think he was not only addicted to the racing but the adrenaline of doing those runs must have been an addiction too. The fact that he can still be such good friends to the guy who ratted them out is amazing and truly admirable . so was the love story with Pam
Mixing a sports doc with a crime doc looks like an amazing idea
Hansie Cronjie -still my hero 👍😭
Watched the Hansie Cronje episode, fascinating stuff. A Lance Armstrong episode would have been nice, it’s also an interesting story 😊
They can do Armstrong eventually, but that's so incredibly well-known, I'm glad that they started with interesting ones that were more obscure (not necessarily truly obscure, but more so than Armstrong).
The guy who assisted in the killing of a single horse is sentenced to 18 months while the man who killed 20 horses gets just 6 months. Its sickening
Only giving 20k while making 1.1m off the back of the players was the real crime in EP1.
No. Still, it wouldn’t have been enough.
I like how they didn't do all most known stories that we already know about they did more stories that are big but we didn't know about
I thought that this would cover Nancy Kerrigan & Tonya Harding when I saw that there was a figure skating episode. In the process of watching this, I finished the first two episodes last night. It’s so good. Definitely hoping they have another season
When I first saw Jamie Sale in the video I thought she looked like Nancy Kerrigan.
Please!! I need a second season with a Lance Armstrong episode and the FIFA gate.
This looks intriguing. Wow just amazed and can't wait to watch it.
Love documentaries. Can’t wait for This
The horse episode was sickening. That Sandman guy is such a creep, he made my skin crawl. I feel horrible that lawyer let his family get mixed up with the creep. Why those wealthy families would be so stupid, greedy, and disgusting is beyond me. Those poor animals.
this was the only episode i kind of had a hard time watching too. especially the manner of how they killed those poor animals
Watched the Hansie episode, his fall was heartbreaking to me in my childhood itself, I could not swallow it then. Never seen such an aggressive, cool and and never give up captain at that time. Named two of my dogs and a cat after him :)
me too this one had me in tears , they did it very well I feel. He was not an evil person just a person and they kind of brought that out in this episode , that is how we south africans remember him. I remember the day the plane crashed and our whole street had their protea flags out.
I hope they do a second season investigating the Essendon supplements saga
Yes!! I would love that!!
Poor Hedake, could've potentially made Millions if he was drafted
Watched the Hansie one last night, fantastic
Really good first episode
So hyped for this Netflix doesn't miss
Sport Documentary of the year contender right here
Idk. Its gonna be tough to beat out the other 2
Awesome docu 👍 Absolutely fascinating stuff 🔥 So this is why top ranked teams lose to unranked teams 🤫😂
Hanse the legend, just finished his episode 😭
IF there is one thing you can say Netflix does good sports docs
Great series, well worth watching!
Never knew the full story behind Calciopoli, so excited to explore it
Likewise brother, I never expected them to come back the way they did. I mean they were relegated all the way to the Serie C, but within 2 seasons managed to be back in the Serie A. Then they had that streak of 7 championships in a row iirc, that's hella impressive in my book..
@@Guillermo_Carratero it was Serie B
Looking forward to hanse cronje's story..
Cricket is in there. Definitely watching now.
same lol.
Same
add a 'remind me' link to your description.
Netflix has some interesting stuff on this Month October
Vou ver agora…
And there are many more that haven't been caught yet for sure.
Time to load up on that pop corn
Can anyone tell me which scandals they are referring to? I wanna do some research first. Sports history is fascinating.
Edit: so apparently the thumbnail is about the 1994 ASU Sun Devils point-shaving scandal; as a newbie Phoenician, I'm feeling some special connection to anything AZ. Still wanna know the other ones.
RIP Hansie
Excusi your honor!!!!
Violencia no es parti di mi vocabulario 🤌 - Toto Moggi
WE NEED VOLUME 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone knows the name of song which is present in the Randy Lanier story? It has a sax sound. Thank you very much in advance
ooohhh on my birthday!! thx netflix
0:35, make a random skit from this..... GO!!!
Another One ✅🔥
Better have the Astros on there
Get over it🤡
NEED S2.
well its about time!
funny enough the "story" forgot to mention the exact fine what the broker guy got in the episode about 1994 Arizona State point-shaving scandal...
I'm currently trying to figure out what type punishment they were dealt🤔
Dirty Money by Alex Gibney but for Sport. I'm in!
Footballgate, closing music? thx
30/30 vibe.
Hansie's episode left me teary eyed
Same
hansie the hero... RIP...
The dude murdering horses for profit 😭😭 what a sicko! I hate the way horses are treated in shows and racing.
"Don't win by MORE than 6" "Won by 6" "We f'ed up."
editoral cut to make it more intense
@@rich45davis Yeah, I watched that ep last night. Pretty good! Still, even for an editorial cut, seemed weird haha. Good little episode, though.
@@ColemanJRimer pleased to hear, on my weekend watch list... is a little odd as it doesn't make sense lol
Looking quite promising....🔥🔥
This is how they make sports like drugs...to keep u addicted enough to rule & still u feel it is unscripted.
I stand with Hansie Cronje.
Hansie Cronje episode was best 👍
Actually I read about the Russian athlete’s scandal in the Olympics and it was really shocking
Icarus covers that pretty well!
Lekker Hansie!
It’s hilarious how greed always ruins the game. Game was won, set for life, got away with it………….”I want more”
Greed is real. And not just in sport!
Is an addiction
They've cracked the mf code. Nice job Netflix.
Looking forward to this
Omg 😍
And I thought Nancy and Tonya was a big deal. Lol
There should be an episode in this about Singapore 2008,when Nelson Piquet.jr crashed deliberately to let Fernando Alonso win
This is why the football is the best sport in the world.
What’s the hip hop song in this episode?
Good sport
I’m a BM that struggled to do right thing! Dude was selfish and let the Devil manipulate him PERIOD
What is the name of hansie Cronje documentary?
The fallen idol
Italian football fans: Calciopoli is an apsolute disgrace to the sport.
Croatian football fans: First time?
The greedy games!
Wowwwww damn!!!!!
Gambling always has a negative outcome even when u win.
just leave Juventus alone 🤦♂️
This is dope. Who needs 30 for 30 anymore
I’m sorry. 30 for 30 is Brilliant.
Netflix Presents ESPN 30 for 30
If your ticket ain’t hit on FanDuel or DraftKings just remember this
The Italian soccer episode came across as trumped up nonsense. No surprise nearly all charges were quashed. The vox pop part from the two contributors analysing the ref performances were so misleading. The Milan game, the two decisions they looked at were standard run if the mill ref decisions - not to allow a play on advantage happens every game. V spurious. The “kidnapping” accusation was laughable, at that point I kinda knew this episode was a filler. 0/10 Netflix.
Moggi knew that Berlusconi had a lot of power so he did not take risks against Milan, but the other matches were very obvious that they were fixed.
why netflix not making movies on cricket
Documentary of hansie Cronje is there. See carefully.
kamila valieva the doper!
Hello
The russian figure skaters and their coach was so funny. They fail to realize that the accusations were beyond personal but political. The pair were not accused of cheating themselves but the judges and countries are. Even i, not a fanatic of figure skating, could see that their performance was shaky; and ive seen their previous skates and it was very elegant and breathtaking but they were unfortunately not on their game on that olympics. Them refusing to accept their mistakes was laughable especially the coach, passing it off as part of their routine 😅. Now that is bad sport.
G.O.A.T
That was the biggest in football
Ruined the league unbelievable
Hustle 😁 😁 😁 😁
I love how he’s like “we were making the school millions, and they didn’t compensate us at all”
Yeah, no shit Sherlock. Every big school was making their school millions, but you didn’t see all of them shaving points to make money. What a clown.

How do you know this for sure?
Salé and Pelletier did not deserve the gold at Salt Lake City. Berezhnaya and Sikharuldize were better than them. It's a real shame that the corrupt judging resulted in them having to share their gold medals with inferior skaters and being tarnished when they weren't involved in the conspiracy. Apparently Salé tries to suggest that Sikharulidze deliberately crashed into her in the warm-up, when footage shows that he obviously did not see her. She's disgusting.
"Black sox" in the word series 1919...
Nice

Why would they do this? Maybe pay your college athletes so they can eat...
