Damn I'm a megaman fan since I was a kid...It was not the best game but it was fun at least(playing as sigma was incredible)
This is sad, I was one of the original adopters of this game. This game came out in other regions before the US got their version of it. I actually made a Hong Kong Apple ID just to play it. I was playing both accounts once the US version came out too. The character release schedule is different which I thought was interesting.
I’ll be honest though, there isn’t much to the game. Only a few modes and honestly the Online multiplayer (which is only a glorified “Versus Mode”). It’s quite intimidating too (especially if you are a new player). It’s a lot of money to spend to be strong and it’s not enough grind for a free player to get to that level. You would never catch up as a free player. The story mode is too short and I think if it were updated regularly wouldn’t have gotten boring.
I’m not hating on the game at all btw. In fact, I wanted more out of it but Capcom seemed to be more focused on the “Gatcha” element rather than improving the game with money already spent by players. I had a feeling this would happen unfortunately. Not sure when but it’s sooner than I expected..
We just need a new Mega Man X sequel at this point. This element just wasn’t the way to go for the franchise anyways. Godspeed Mega Man X Dive! Wish you had better going for you..
I feel like the reason there wasn't much to do has to do with the fact that is was based on Mega Man X. There's just not much to do in those game aside from the basic platforming levels and there isn't any post game. Just seems like Capcom Taiwan slapped on PvP and hoped that plus nostalgia would be enough to keep the game going.
There's other things that could have vastly improved the experience but having a new game mode would have been fantastic. I've spoke about it before but something akin to the Selection Quests from War of the Visions could have been really nice. They basically give you a "free" UR(or S rank in terms of X Dive) and all the materials to fully build up the unit by completing the quests. That would also allow some lazier designs if they opt to make them A ranks as we could just get like some of the other palette swaps of like X armors, maybe some Double Souls/Styles for Megaman.exe etc.
What about co op??? Co op was awesome. It’s not just versus multiplayer. You’re incorrect on that aspect.

No it's not. It hasn't released yet, it presumably won't until the Taiwan version goes offline in September at the earliest.

This is part of why I never bothered in the first place.
The game wasn't even officially released over here and it's already disengaging, so I never got to play it. Amazing stuff, for real.(not)
I guess the positive is that even if the multiplayer content is sadly cut out(I'd say "someone will mod it back in anyways", but I don't trust the modding community anymore. Just like official post release support, they abandoned me too many times, lol), the offline release will most likely be regionfree on all plattforms, not just mobile...right? Like, there is 0 reason to keep it regionlocked on Steam anymore, so that should be a given.

I barely got s rank hunters, got some great stuff, my level is 106 and now Capcom wants to shutdown the server this coming September, why? And this is what we get bitch slap in our face?
If they're not making enough money to keep the game running then or have enough staff to work on the game then gacha games typically get shut down.

No it will not. I'm convinced whoever wrote that tweet doesn't know what that word means. Once it's no longer cost effective to continue the upkeep of the Global version it will get shut down so it definitely won't be online indefinitely. By using cryptic wording like that they can attempt to keep the players spending money at least until they announce EoS.
Did you notice they conveniently also said "Come to the stream if you have any questions?" You know where they advertise the Flash Packs that get people to spend money by capitalizing on fear of missing out by having it only available for 5 minutes during said stream? They seemingly want to just get what they can out of the game until they also shut down.
It's also worth noting that Nebula Joy(the company that runs Global) gets everything from the Taiwan version currently. That's why it takes them forever to fix any issues with the game because any issues are just in the build and they won't/can't fix them. So without the Taiwan version doing most of the heavy lifting for them in terms of creating characters, content, etc. it's looking real slow. Now it is possible that they can take over and have the Global version be the only active version but I highly doubt that would happen.
nah all versions of it wont last long. so even if global last a bit longer. it will go down anyways. give it like one year at most and global wont last. I mean lets be honest. we all saw this coming a mile away.
The draw rates kill this game IMHO.
Pvp was the selling point for me and only reason to grind levels and not once did pvp work the entirety of the game since launch. Good riddance.
PvP was seemingly expected to carry the game seeing how there was barely any other content added most of the time.
I knew this would happen, I quit about a year ago coz the gatcha sucks, you grind for 2 months then you spend all your element metals and still not get the featured hero or weapon. Its not worth it. At first it was fun the gatcha rate was just fine until they got greedy and reduce its rate.
Good riddens,this game is horrible...the terrible drop rates makes the game one sided in pvp...lot of hacking...so this game needs to go...geishapon type games never do well snyway.
