"Stop and think... About the glory you're leaving on the table." Truer words have never been spoken
What does he mean by that?
@@mikemike4165 "Fuck you, Shoresy!"
@@silvia.4442 You don't get Aunt Marion by walking away from a fight with the King.
AMEN
@@silvia.4442 It means that you could "win" the affection of a girl (the glory), but you could also "lose" her and suffer an incredible embarrassment (rejected in front of everybody). The "glory you leave on the table" is not taking the risk at all. A text message risk nothing and thus has no glory. This entire monologue strikes a certain chord with how men are wired. The point, at least for Uncle Eddie, and true in life as well is nothing can be achieved without taking a huge risk.
"Guess who walks in... ever heard of Johnny Cash?" gets me every fuckin time
Better believe it's the man in black
Now he’s spinnin’s the yarn.
This wild ass story kills me everytime and just the way Wayne tells it you know it’s true buddy haha
y'ev'rd'o'jonnycash
Dary guessing little Richard had me done...
The look Darry's face when he guesses little Richard correctly fucking kills me
Few things in life give me more seratonin than seeing Darry happy.
Pretty sure that was a “blooper” that they just had to keep in lol from what I’ve seen about behind the scenes they can almost never make it through a whole scene without someone laughing smiling etc.
This isn't just a scene. This is poetry.
"Takes her for a milkshake, like a real man"
Fuckin' A
DAWG
"Next thing y'know, in walks the Rat Pack with Chuck Berry and The Beach Boys, who hadn't broken yet but were makin' a name for themselves as California street toughs." This line cracks me up every time!
N O
"Wanna throw hands at James Brown, I'm sorry you're a goner. Everybody knows that."
Love this show!
🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
especially his ex wife..
(too soon?)
That's just facts. I'd sooners mount the funnel of a runnin woodchippers than throws hands with James Brown.
You don’t mess with 6 ft 3 of soul and fury
"Still on the bottle and a nasty drunk"...LOL
Gets me all the time.

"Sammy Davis Jr. switched sides half-way through the fight." LOL
My favorite bit was the way Wayne's voice dips out for "he's got Dean Martin in an ₒₘₒₚₗₐₜₐ"
I thought I was alone 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The omoplata, which means scapula in Portuguese, is a highly effective Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ submission). ...
"Cash is over there arm-barring Sinatra."
Glorious words
It is glorious
"he's with his good pal Bing Crosby and that's pre-'White Christmas' when he was still on the bottle and a nasty drunk" holy shit every line of this is gold
The physical comedy is so good I can't even explain why. The way Keeso walks away, turns, comes back just emphasize a point. It's hilarious.
I still can't handle the spot - among ALL of this absurdity - when Wayne says "Buddy Holly walks over and BERTUZZI's uncle Eddie"
As an Avs fan, yeah, no, fuck Bertuzzi. I'm glad he's become the fucking generic for that shit.
@@Freelancer4tehwin Well as a hockey fan I agree in-general.
It was just a funny reference since you don't hear a good Bertuzzi dropped into pop culture usually.
Well as someone that doesn’t watch a lick of hockey, appreciate the backstory.
@@Monahandsom3 In 2004, Todd Bertuzzi gave an opposing player a sucker punch to the back of his head in the dying minutes of a meaningless game. It gave the other guy a career-ending head injury, got Bertuzzi a crazy long suspension and a criminal charge. It was so bad that the Canadian government talked about bringing in a special law against hockey violence unless the league cracked down. Believe you me, you don't want to get Bertuzzi'd.
@@Monahandsom3 Here is a quick TSN video on the incident from 2004 czcams.com/video/GEjdwlT6g7o/video.html ...but for the purpose of explaiining the reference made in Letterkenny it means sucker punch
God Damnit uncle Eddie, a legend for all eternity... took her for a
Milkshake after bustin them skulls.
Like a real man
"Hey kid, we got this from here...go get your girl." Haha. Gold.
"... aboot the glory you're leavin' on the table".
Glorious ending!
Ray Charles says, "No way. That's not how this ends."
How he kept a straight face through all that is beyond me! I would love to see the bloopers for that particular scene!
I love the way he looks out into the distance as he tells this story. Awesome!
Fun fact, he does that when he has a long monologue because he's reading it off a card. Just like with the super cold open. Pretty smart. I mean for a guy that looks like he never talks, he says more words per minute than an average woman most days. like-lay.

Professor Tricia says thats demeanins to womens.
@@ibieiniid4240 unpopular opinion: Dan making everything plural got old pretty fast. If he even acknowledged it, it might have more legs, but they went the other way when he calls out Wayne and Daryl for saying sushis and sashimis. He he has no idea they're making fun of him. Great bit, but still bugged me.
@@ryancbarrett96 Wan' know what? I think they still get some mileage out of it every now and then but yeah most times it's just a bits of a distractions.
@@ibieiniid4240 Professors Tricias drives me crazy in particular.
Ok, so we got Elvis Presley, Chuck Berry, Beach Boys, Johnny Cash, John Wayne, James Brown, Little Richard, Bing Crosby, Buddy Holly, Ray Charles, Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, Dean Martin and Brian Wilson, did I miss anybody?
Uncle Eddie, how can you miss a legend like that
@@LeButters213 this deserves every like ever liked
Brian Wilson was a member of the Beach Boys. No need list him twice.
You know who should be listed twice? God damn uncle Eddie.
Depending on which variation of the Rat Pack, you could be missing a couple of members from there, but the mention of Crosby makes me think it was post-Lawford.
That was so fucking God damn awesome, a story of love found, honor defended, Shakespearean intrigues and even an MMA beat down!
How can you not like the story of how Uncle Eddy met Aunt Marion. 😂😂
“So fuckin’ Buddy Holly walks over and Bertuzzis Uncle Eddie, right?”
That’s a sucker from behind, rest of the world
No way. That's not how this ends.. possibly the funniest thing I've ever heard on television.
i love wayne's hilarious brazilian jiu-jitsu references. yes, these are actual techniques, but this scene is gold.
I just started BJJ six months ago…. I just discovered Letterkenny two weeks ago. This is my favorite scene so far, and having the BJJ reference is just a cherry on top 😂
Letterkinny shows that Ontario Canadians are the same as West Texans with a different accent. Same morals and values same polite yet violent chivalry.. same subculture.
Don't text her, that's just leaving it on the table. Start a massive bar fight in front of her.
Sounds right to me
Can confirm.
I just saw this for the first time watching through the show and I was so awestruck at "Think about the glory you're leavin on the table" that I had to see if it was in a clip I could show my friends.
God this show's lines are amazing. One of the best written shows I've ever heard or seen.
"Ray Charles has got Buddie Holly in a rear naked. Buddy Holly's tappin' and Ray Charles says 'No way. That's not how this ends.'"
This is one of the greatest pieces of writing in television history.
Highest-quality bullshit I've ever heard. Inspiring.
This story is just begging to animated lol
Oh Hell Ya! Youre just leaving glory on the table by not doing it lol
That Last Line rocked my shit.
Also dary's face when Wayne says "you better fucking believe it's little Richard" 🤣😂
Shimmying over in a REAL bad mood.
This is the greatest monologue in television history
For Keso to shift his voice to what I assume is his natural voice when he speaks the glory on the table line, is nothing short of brilliant and carries a lot of undertone.
Really drives the point home doesn’t it?
2:44 "The glory you're leaving on the table"
This might be one of the best stories ever told
The most subtle thing he says is, "he Bertuzzi's Uncle Eddie." Only a hockey fan (American here) would get that reference. Awesome.
How can anyone live up to that?? I guess I'll be single for ever....lol
The best thing I have ever watched in my entire 38 years.
SAME!!! (minus 7ish years) This show is seriously hilarious
Must be nice.
I love that he uses Bertuzzi as a verb.
I’m gonna spend the whole weekend thinking ‘bout the glory I left on the table. Fuckin’ A.
One of the best scenes..... beach boys...... California street toughs..... hahahaha
15 people left the glory on the table.
It's hilarious how many musical legends are in this story! 🤣🤣🤣
The best thing is that (according to some documentaries I've seen) many of these artists used to hang out together in Nashville in the late 50's. It was the music scene of the late 50's early 60's.
I'm Uncle Eddie and I approve this message.
So.....I never knew you guys existed until like 4 days ago and now I can't imagine living another day of my life without Letterkenny. Thank you for the laughs!
Pitter patter, time to get at er and watch all six seasons and the specials.
Same. Just found this show Monday on Hulu and I’m hooked. It’s like a Canadian Alabama lol. It’s awesome
Just as popular here in the States - Letterkenny is a world class masters class is in innuendo comedy…
The cold open from the first episode got me into Letterkenny. This one made me love it.
“Takes her fur a milkshake, like a real man”
WOW....now that was a story right there.
I can believe every word of it.
This show is like a verbal word play haiku of a poem but stretched and reformed as a brilliantly hilarious comedy that I have rewatched literally 5 times from start to finish!
Someone needs to re enact this the greatest love story ever told
This is a lesson every young man could use. While the story is funny, the words are the golden truth.
Uncle Eddie is a Fing legend. 😎👍👏🇨🇦
damn i didnt know all those old school stars knew bjj
Shut Up Listen some black belts under Gracie
Great shit!!!!!! Love how Rat Pack, Elvis, rock and roll, involved!!!!!
My all time favorite Wayne story🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I love this story.
Takes her for a Milkshake....LIKE A REAL Man....
I love that line.
Thank you for posting these clips to your official page.
"yeah you better f#cking believe it's little Richard"😂😂😂😂
This show is so good!
Best story ever told. Period
Best episode yet
This is my favorite conversation lol
😂The Man in Black, Rest in peace!
SOOO has anybody else figured out by now that this yarn that he spins foreshadows Wayne meeting Marie-Frédérique at Anik's pre-wedding party in the season 5 finale "Bock et Biche"???
Seriously, watch this then go rewatch the final scene in that episode 😱😱😱😱
Priceless
He pretty much just described the classic musicians version of the Ultimate Showdown.
How has somebody not animated this sequence yet?
Love these guys
Another great video 😂😂
this is a classic
Uncle Eddie was a fucking legend
You can’t spell Legendary without Letterkenny………I think.
Tell ya what, she went to him......the offense in his voice..love it
All hands throwin hands
This is the best scene in the entire show
This effing amazing
Spin the yarn now!!
glorious
That PRE white Christmas....look out 🤣🤣🤣
Why is this strangely motivating?...Think about the glory you’re leaving on the table
What a fucking. Legend.
Letterkenny is doing Gods work, all’s I’ms sayin.
This some ultimate showdown of ultimate destiny type business
I've been looking for this scene for years lol, fucking thank you !
Can one of you cartoon creators make this whole fight scene into a cartoon?? Lol
It makes perfect sense..... I will strive to stand in your uncle's shadow!
Only scene better than those 3 discussing why Katie isn’t around on spelling bee day.
Walks over and Bertuzzis him. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Go Flames!
I like that Sammy Davis Jr swapped sides and put dean-o in a choke hold.
This very well maybe the smartest show globally. Ever.
I love how the thumbnail makes it look like Wayne’s giving a speech at the Galactic Senate.
I fucking love every part of this show
