Willjum is the best solo after me
I have to say - watching you get taken out by someone flanking you, when you know they're flanking and they still get the best of you... And you immediately brush it off and move on with a good attitude - it's really inspiring.
That's when I would have stopped playing, thinking "why can I never get the best of that situation?" While feeling frustrated and down for some time after. And the answer to why I don't win those is simply because I always let it defeat me mentally, long before I ever give myself the opportunity get good enough to win from time-to-time.
Watching your response is such a contrast to my own, and something I strive to improve. Not just in Rust, but in handling set-backs through all areas of life. I'm quite a bit older than you, but I feel you've taught me an important lesson. Thanks for that.

The sleeping bags can’t be placed through windows because people used to place them through the door windows to spawn deep into people’s cores. Stupid that they also blocked them from being placed through regular windows too though

I have never played a second of Rust but there's nothing like a Chill Willjum Rust Experience.
Trust me, it's time more efficiently spend. 1 hour of Rust video vs days "wasted" playing the game and getting beamed left right and center.

Just a recommendation, but i think it would be cool to see you play another day of the wipe just running oils and cargos or doing red tier monuments. I dont think we get enough of it and the wipe feels a little cut off. Other than that great video!

This is like the epitome of a Solo Rust experience. I love these videos where you go on adventures doing one thing, only to do something else entirely to adapt to your situations and surroundings.

I've just recently discovered your channel. I've played just one wipe of Rust ever a year ago, but I love your videos and watch them daily. In that one game I met international bunch of really good guys that taught me a lot. It was a tense 2-week, we looted underway, drove car, shot down a heli, the main thing I couldn't learn fast enough was to shoot. :) I farmed tons of stuff during night when the server was quiet and built a huge sheet cube-like fortress. There was a raid on me from a big group, I didn't have any idea what to expect, how strong the walls and doors are, what they endure, they got into outer shell. I was hidden in the core of the base with all my riches, in panic I upgraded it to bunker. The core itself was also quite large. The upkeep was big, but not that much for a farmer as me. I even supplied my friends with what they needed. They knocked on me, mocked me, I was so stressed. And after about an hour they said I am a fucking noob and left with just a handful of useless stuff stored in that layer they was in. Well I never understood that, I've withstood the raid of experienced and I was a noob. :-D Your videos are great, they tempt me to play Rust again, it was so fun....
This new approach off getting a airlock down quickly is very calming, please keep it up. Great videos as always!
You can actually split the metal in the furnaces to smelt it faster, I usually do 1k wood and 1k metal split in 2 500 stacks and it smelts fine, that way it smelts faster and wastes less wood!

Can we acknowledge that Willjum apologizes for a late upload. He doesn’t have to idk why he does honestly. Everybody has a life and people shouldn’t have to apologize for stuff like this. Content is content no matter when it is uploaded.
11:28, Ah one of the original Willjum Classic bases. I built this one myself many many times and it always served me well as a solo. I always loved the staggered levels and front door being 3 levels up. It always amazed how much stuff you can fit in it too.

The fact that this is the same server and where you last left off, earned my love for your content, I can’t stand it when rust players leave on a cliff hanger when they were only a day or two in the wipe, it does become dull at some point in the wipe but not on official, I love your style and content and at every turn it’s satisfying, keep up the great work buddy

I feel like this tip would benefit Willjum - if an animal is chasing you, jump as far off (horizontally speaking) a small ledge as you can and it will de-aggro the animal :)

The chillest pvp chad in rust. Unlike other rustubers, your videos are balanced; base building, farming, pvp, story. I think it is hilarious, You were the first rustuber I started watching, at 220k, and now you have surpassed, Blooprint and the others in subscribers.
Willjum taught me how to perfectly split stacks into furnaces a while back, I'd love to now teach him that he can still split the metal in the furnace to cook it twice as fast :)

I watch this guy when I am feeling down or bored. There is just something about his videos that calms my small peanut ADHD brain. It has me hooked until the end after which I click on another video from him because at that point he's put me in a head lock I am happy to sit through. Top it off with that calming music (I cry every time the Minecraft music comes on) and his taste in decor when building his bases that even I as a interior guru could enjoy watching. I've been here since 100k and I can't wait for my man to hit that fine 1mil milestone because he truly deserves it for being such a dedicated underrated and talented creator.

i built the small start version of this base on a rust console server, and with all the sweatys that exist over there. it survived a couple raid attempts while being at only stone. helped that i built it near outpost.
but it was then i learned the strength of bunker bases. i may have lost a few things and a couple doors, but TC was untouched in the bunker.
i love how you can use the triangle roofs for jump ups now on the inside of base by rotating them easily you can even place turrets first then the roof and the turret actually pokes out of the roof
In the end, the last seconds of your video, you show us your base from the outside. Thank you. That is important. You have sometimes.not done that and it is always dissapointng because we are with you on a journey and we want to see everything :)

So that fridge skin with the cryogenic freezer thing, that'd be a cool skin to use for some roleplay fun, or maybe a role-playing trap base like the go walking hallways with those and then bam shotgun traps, and every time you get someone you add a fridge with a sign above it with that players name, lol.

Willjum, I gotta tell you. You changed by Rust game with one phrase. I used to get salty when dying or somethind bad would happen, but when I heard you say "Nothing in Rust really belongs to you, so you can't really get mad when you get raided or die". I play such a more chill game now. My fights in game are so much better too. Cheers.
