I loved these because back in the pre-VHS 70's -- for me at least -- a book/record set was the next best thing to owning a movie you could enjoy whenever you wanted.
Ever since I heard Ben Grimm's voice in this story I always hear it when I read him in the comics . An excellent fit for the character . The first run stories of Power Records were done well but then later on as they added more titles they became cheesy . Fantastic four The Hulk Captain America and the Falcon Spider-Man ( Man-Wolf ) Man-Thing Frankenstein Dracula The Werewolf After these titles they started cutting corners .
This changed my life. Granted I was 7. Got it for my birthday in '75 along with the Escape from the Planet of the Apes one (Chimps? Humans!). I had already been practicing drawing "realistic" faces front and side, and saw a shot of Reed's head drawn in 3/4 view by the immortal John Buscema and became obsessed with learning it. I'm still obsessed with the art form to this day. And I loved the audio production.
I watched the son of Frankenstein with Nigel Rathbone and that is when pop culture first heard about cosmic rays. Stan Lee loved the Frankenstein movies...
This is terrific! I had some of these, including this one, when I was a kid! Still have them! But playing 45 rpm is no simple matter today and it's great to know there's a place where a permanent version is stored! That you put the work into making this .. It can't have been that easy. Nicely done!
During the battle with Mole Man at that weird house, Johnny's girlfriend Crystal, of the Inhumans, was also present, though the comic only shows the main four.
One day, while quarantined, perhaps I'll take scans of the pages and re-letter them. Peter Pan/Power Records avoided the cost of hiring a Marvel Comics letterer ... but damn! Even as I kid, I remember thinking, "That's some sloppy lettering!"
WOW! I never knew about these Power Records adaptations! (I only had that Spider-Man "rockcomic," "Beyond The Grave" czcams.com/video/ZWHEZF2pdgg/video.html ). I loved that album, but if I had had this, I would have played it 200 times at least!
Still; the best voice actor for "The Thing" ever! Whenever I read Ben Grimm dialogue, in a FF comic, this is the voice I always hear. p.s. Reed's voice actor was also well-suited. But he's got to be the worst actor ever..🙄
I think Buscema's FF is really good! Would you agree his art 8does* work as the template for the 1995-1996 season of the animated series? Art-wise, I would put him fourth, under Kirby/Sinnott, Byrne/Gordon, and Dale Eaglesham (Hickman's first main artist)
But Joe Sinnott's inks could make the artwork of even lesser artists than Kirby or Buscema look stellar! Sinnott has recently put his pens in their box for the last time, at 92. Happy Retirement, Joe!

I'd go in the basement and spend hours reading and playing these...I still love them
I love the way these old records sound.
The voice of Mister Fantastic sounds like Robert Clarke, star of many B-movies (The Hideous Sun Demon, Beyond the Time Barrier).
Classic Artwork from the 70's
I had this forever...!
I used to love playing these records on my stereo when I was a kid.
This was nightly listening growing up in the 70s!! Great stuff thanks!!

It like me going through my comic book collection again when i was a kid
these old records (fantastic four/incredible hulk/spider man/etc) should be released on cd.
I had one in the late 60's that had a reprint of Avengers #4 w/ a record. What memories and how I wish I had kept it!
Peter Fernandez (The voice of Speed Racer and Racer X) is doing the narration and the voice of the Human Torch.
I'm sure it's just me, but his narration is very Stan-Lee-ish :)
I had this when I was a kid. Got another not too long ago just out of nostalgia. Thanks for sharing; I didn't need to try to dig out a turntable.
love it very good Story
I watched the son of Frankenstein with Nigel Rathbone and that is when pop culture first heard about cosmic rays. Stan Lee loved the Frankenstein movies...
Nigel Rathbone was great, but I prefer Basil Bruce.
Glad I was directed here. Very convenient.

THANK-YOU!
Fantastic Four #126.
During the battle with Mole Man at that weird house, Johnny's girlfriend Crystal, of the Inhumans, was also present, though the comic only shows the main four.
Glad you enjoyed it!
This should be the next FF reboot script
I finely find the story of the FF4 that I couldn't find...
After all these years, It wasn't my invisible friend's comic!
One day, while quarantined, perhaps I'll take scans of the pages and re-letter them. Peter Pan/Power Records avoided the cost of hiring a Marvel Comics letterer ... but damn! Even as I kid, I remember thinking, "That's some sloppy lettering!"
I used to have this book & record set when I was young.
Is there a list of the voice cast? I’d love to know their names. I loved this as a kid! This probably cemented my love for the FF!
It looks like the Kirby/Sinnott art. Great!
John Buscema and Joe Sinnott. Kirby was long gone, having left Marvel and starting his New God's comics over at DC.
"Power records Presents ".....ohhh you knew it was good
calling it that this is coming up on the next MF DOOM project
We have a similar idea, I'm here looking for samples to scratch
The Mole Man!
Great stuff., I owned this one
Sweet FF on vynil!!
Where can I find the Golden Records Fantastic Four record? Is this the same thing?
WOW! I never knew about these Power Records adaptations! (I only had that Spider-Man "rockcomic," "Beyond The Grave" czcams.com/video/ZWHEZF2pdgg/video.html ). I loved that album, but if I had had this, I would have played it 200 times at least!

Buishema is great but he doesn't cut it in the FF

What kind of ending was that?
This is a reprint of Fantastic Four #126. It sets up the story that continues in #127. That’s why there is no distinct end.
At the time it left me wanting more..
