I'm so glad! Thank you! I have already finished the blue lovenote, so hopefully on track for getting a couple of things done this month. Hopefully get those sock’s completed as they are quite quick to finish x x

I had my left overs on weight order, and I change it to colour order and wow, I loved it, I could see projects just sitting there

Couldn't agree more, I have about two supermarket shopping bags, maybe little more, but my husband always says I have loads of wool and to just use it up, he doesn't understand what project I may be working on, that comes from a man that has no hobbies,interests whatsoever, not even sports, nothing!

Wow what a lot of yarn, but a sort out well worth doing. The Cherry Heart pattern is looking beautiful with the colours you have chosen. I think I’m going to start making her Battenberg blanket using up my oddments of yarn. 😊
It’s funny to think of Robins in relation to Christmas. I live in Wisconsin, US and robins leave us in the autumn and don’t return until spring. We associate the variety of robin that we see with spring!

I am in the process of using all my little balls of yarn and turning them into doll blankets for our 8 granddaughters. They are turning out beautifully. So far I have 3 finished. And some baskets are empty.

That's motived me to sort out my minis by colour too and get started on a new crochet blanket.

I thoroughly enjoyed your journey through leftovers, minis, and wips! Thank you so much for sharing. I tend to store my leftovers in large bags according to the number of grams ( 20 grams). So far that sort has worked well for me. A color sort might be helpful as well . .. . Until next week. Salam wa sa’aadah
Yes, i need to go through all my stash too now that i have my very own craft room. Everything is in clear plastic containers so i can find things easy. Acrylics for afghans and wool for clothing. Love the flower blanket Ellie. And Jensen made my day with his cute Bye,bye❤ THANK YOU! 🇨🇦🥰Sharon.

Hope you don’t mind that you gave me a good laugh as I watched you sorting all of your leftovers and then finding hidden treasures in your project bags! Ellie…..you are not alone! We all do this 😂. I have a pile up of project bags filled with past, current, and future projects that I have to sort through because the bin is spilling over with all those projects. I have another bin with purchased yarn yet to be stored in my large bins. I had better get to work!! Jensen is so adorable and he’s learning so much about building from Adam. When he said bye-bye, his little voice just melted my heart. So happy for all of you.

Oh I got quite excited at seeing all your mini mini’s! I’m quite new to sock and using 4ply so live hardly any. I’ve recently finished a scrappy granny blanket using up all my DK acrylic scraps and it was so satisfying. I’d definitely claim your small ones and make a Frankenballie and then just set to it! 😄

Where do I start? There is so much in this video. I love it all. I love a good nosey into other people's yarn stash but gosh you've got SO much!!! I thought I had a lot. You've definitely inspired me to sort and I think I might start the Battenburgh blanket. It looks a good way to use up stash. Jensen's "bye" gets me every time. He is so cute!!!

Sorry to hear that! It is hard to find the space to store these your stash isn’t it! I got very good at squirrelling things away when we used to live in a one bedroom house. I don’t know how I stores it all. So grateful to have my own craft room x x
Well done for having a good sort out. I did my yarn and fabric recently and it's exhausting. I'm trying very hard to have a no buy craft supplies year in order to use my stash with the exception of a few purchases from Wonderwool next month. I have signed up to your newsletter so as to be notified of when your yarn advents become available. Although I will have to pay for it soon I won't be using it until December so I don't consider that breaking my no buy rule. I plan to make the Rain or Shine Blanket by Stephen West and think an advent would be perfect for that. I've not made a West Knits pattern before and I've not purchased a yarn advent before either, so two new experiences for me. When Harry was little I made him a car garage out of toilet rolls. Each toilet roll held a car. He loved it and I enjoyed making it, of course. Maybe an idea for Adam's next cardboard adventure. 😊

I usually sort my yarn in type but watching this video I think I will have more success if I sort it in colour and then projects, I have been joining all my little scrappy bits and colours I'm not in love with and making a corner to corner blanket. With the inspiration and ideas from crafty people like yourself I will find a way to organise myself so I can actually get stuck in to making things. Thankyou 😊
Thanks for confessing to how much scrap yarn you have stashed away. You must not feel guilty otherwise I will have to as well because I could run rings around you when it comes to quantity. The quicker I crochet and knit blankets folk give me more scraps. My local nursing homes love the blankets. You are so productive I have no doubt you'll conquer that stash. I desperately need to organize my yarn ( expecting new yarns in the mail) and use up some of the small bits.
I must be on a yarn diet until some of that gets all used up. I’m thinking a triangular blanket like the one on your blog today.
I feel so much better now it is organised. I think crochet blankets take up so much yarn they can use up lots of scraps quickly. So these babies will be used in no time. That is what I am telling myself anyway 😂 x x

my stash is a complete shambles at the moment but I keep telling myself that if I keep on knitting, it will eventually get more organised as I use it up, rather than actually having to organise it. so far it hasn't really worked lol. i like your idea to sort scraps into colour families. i think I would like to make some monochromatic scrappy projects, like choose a colour palette and combine a lot of yarns that tie in with it rather than totally random scraps.
