- How many remember Creative Recreation shoes? The mid 2000s was the golden age of streetwear, a time where upstart brands had tons of avenues into the mainstream, and the ones that did sneakers were no exception.
There were several new comers in the sneaker game and Creative Recreation was among the most popular. But over the years, they have all but disappeared to the market. Why is that? Lets find out.

I still currently wear them. I don’t give care if they’re not as popular anymore. They’re unique looking, sleek, without all the unnecessary design. I get compliments on them because they stand out

it's very interesting how when most brands fall, it's mainly due their branding/marketing mistakes rather than the actual products. I thought CR's were cool back when I was in high school over ten years ago and it's crazy how the price hasn't changed and still is $100 on the site today.
Seems like it’s almost always the brand’s mistake. There could be a lot more legacy streetwear brands if not for that
Definitely advertising and marketing it’s also about staying true to your brand morality and exclusivity

i used to like these shoes, they have okay styles rn but at one point their styles were top tier, what i like is their pricing still justifiable

I just randomly remembered creative recreation. So much nostalgia, I remember when creative rec had a lot of reps on instagram and they were all more than willing to share some discount codes. The shoes I ordered were very comfortable, stylish and durable. Honestly really quality shoes, I feel if they rebranded and targeted more demographics they’d pop off again. They weren’t skate shoes but I skated the shit out of them.

I used to be a fan of this brand. They managed to create classic silhouettes that are still modern to this date but i do remember they started over saturating, trying to be too commercialized too fast… it kinda lost its “cool” factor. They are still nice looking shoes though. quite sad, it had so much potential
I miss the Lacava Mids, loved their clean and simple look, and they were comfy. RIP :(

Was wondering what happened to them. Was my most collected shoe in 2007-2012. Crazy what happened to them. Rocky is a trash company... Horrible boots, and that's their "bread and butter." Horrible.
