Sir, my case is different, am using single focus lens since long time but now am not able to read nearer things with glasses on, but can read clearly without them. I am 38 and could you let me know what is this called and what kind of lenses I should wear?
It appears that you use negative number. Now for your problem pl go to eye doctor who will prescribe you number of glasses for reading. This number will be less than your earlier number. Say you were using -4.5 for distance vision than you will be given -2.5 for reading.

They are for glasses and contact lense. Ophthalmologist for eye problem. Much better to consult ophthalmologist first before wear eye glasses for the first time.
