    We will be going in early/mid July. Interested in keyaking and exploring caves, not so much beaches. How’s the weather??

      In July you can expect weather being fairly hot (80’s to 90’s). July is considered a rainy month, so anticipate a lot of rain. Kayaking and cave exploring is still possible, but would definitely suggest doing so with a tour guide group as a safety measure. Weather conditions can change fairly quick, so it’s always good to be prepared. Enjoy your visit to Halong Bay, do let us know how your trip goes!

    Hello...Great video !
    I am planning to visit this area staying 1 night in Hai Phong and after that 3 nights in Cat Ba before I go back to Hanoi.
    What is your oppinion about this plan ?
    Thank you for your comments.

      It depends on the month of your travel, winter time from Dec to Feb, during this time it will be cold for swimming on Cat Ba beach.

    what is the weather like in Ha Long Bay in mid March?
    what hotel/resort do you recommend staying at with kids 11 and 10 years old with easy beach access and that is not too expensive.

      March is a great time to visit. Since it is the start of spring in March. There will be more hours of sunshine during that time, which in return means more activities during the day. The water starts to warm up during March, but anticipate some cooler weather. Packing a waterproof light jacket is always good to have handy in case of rainfall. Check out Vinpearl resorts they are reasonably priced and are kid friendly. They are one of the leading brands in Vietnam on innovating entertainment around tourism, domestically and internationally. The resort does also have convenient beach access as well. Here is a link to Vinpearl Resorts on Agoda (if you have any trouble locating the property): agoda.tp.st/uVjaazRW

    Going there in late January/24. Is it a good time for exploring halong bay?

    • @TravelwithDodo
      @TravelwithDodo  Před 7 měsíci +1

      That depends on what you had in mind for exploration during your trip. January is considered a cold and dry month in Halong Bay, with temperatures in the 60s (Fahrenheit). It's not ideal for most beach activities, but other exploration aspects are fine if you don't mind the cooler weather. The weather is great for Hiking, kayaking, biking, rock climbing, and cave and island explorations. You can expect foggy days, which make for great photos. Another benefit of traveling to Halong Bay in January is the low chance of rainfall, preventing any cancellations to itinerary plans. Hope that information helps with your trip planning. Thanks for watching!

    The last but not the least, should I stay in Ha Long City instead Hai Phong ?
    Thank you again.

      Your plan sounds great. I personally would rather stay in Ha Long. But that may be a personal preference, based soley on location to stay. It doesn’t factor in hotel amenities or plans in the itinerary. Enjoy your trip!

      No, you should stay on cruise and then go to other places like Cat Ba island, Ninh Binh
