- This gamejam was like a series of unfortunate events, gamedev edition. Game development is always hard, but this game was rough. Between myself, the pixel artist, and the game musician we had major issues pop up all along the development of this game. This game was for VimJam4 an annual gamejam that happens once per year.

They did a really great job giving the game a consistent feel. 💪Made my job a lot easier.
Even though the development of the game was pretty rough, I feel like it turned out pretty good! Had a fun time playing through it.
I am pretty happy with the result. It's not bad, but the memories will make me think twice about next year's vimjam. (I'm sure I'll still do it next year, but I'll think twice about it before joining.😅)

Yea. Tbh the vimjams are hard even for me. One time I loset all the progres on my game on the last day lol.
I don't know if it's cursed or if there's just more time for things to possibly go wrong. 😅

@@CERISTHEDEV I only ever played Sonic Advance and I know Sonic has a lot of casino levels.
I can only assume that HelperWesley has meticulously avoided the Sonic fandom for years, if not decades. And if that assumption is true, I do not blame him.
So basically, they made a sega genesis style soundtrack.
Dude I'm literally partaking on my first jam, it's the second day, and I'm literally stuck on enemy vs player collisions. (Basically the player can damage the enemy, but enemies can't seem to damage the player.)
I thought it was hard because you'd have to write the code with Vim.
To be entirely honest, I've only ever heard of Vim, I've never seen it used before. 🤔
