WE DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THIS PART OF IRAN: Incredible hospitality and the ancient city of Persepolis!

- We travelled to Iran at the beginning of September 2022 before protests and civil unrest began in Tehran on 16 September 2022 following to the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini. Our thoughts are with the people of Iran during this time and we feel incredibly thankful to have visited and experienced the amazing hospitality and culture of Iran as New Zealanders.
In this episode we visit the amazing ancient city of Persepolis in Iran! Did you know about it before?! We learnt so much in our day trip from Shiraz to Yazd visiting Persepolis and Pasargadae in Iran.
This history is obviously a sight to behold in itself - but what really made Iran for us was the people. See in this episode we visit Beige House in Pasargadae and enjoy a traditional Iranian lunch and of course the Iranian hospitality that the country and its people are well known for.

My wife is Iranian. We came for a visit in 2018 and decided to move here. We LOVE it. Amazing county, amazing people, amazing food...most UNESCO world heritage sites. The best thing about Iran ? The people ! They give you love.

It is safe, clean, modern, family oriented, strong traditional values, wonderful food, culture, art, music, architecture- great transportation infrastructure - AMAZING cities that are full of beauty and wonder - great people that showed us a lot of love. IRAN is AWESOME !

We live better here than we ever did in Canada - the people who left Iran will son come running back ! Iran is building something special. i’m an iranian that’s living in arab country (not gonna say which country lol but hint: gulf) and have been ashamed of my nationality for my entire life due to racism..watching this and learning about our history made me feel better about myself and where i’m from, and that there are non iranians that don’t hate iran and iranian people!

ancient iran had about 4 or 5 capital city nr one sussan the capital city in cyruss era nr2 bobilon in iraq nr3 hamadan for xerex the king nr4 kermansh ,capital city of shapour the king (this king brought valerian king of romr/greece and philip the 3th and cut the head off in kermanshah city) and perspolis

I’m an expat Iranian living in the West. I was moved here by my parents when I was an child, and have been back quite a few times. Honestly, I wish we had never moved. The west is not all it’s cracked up to be. I know that’s hard to believe for Iranians in Iran, but that’s been in my case (and I’m not destitute 😂)
