I tried the “viral” tir tir cushion foundation. Did not live up to the hype, enhanced my texture and oxidized on my face. It’s also pretty bulky packaging. Love your videos!!!
hii, im kinda new with makeup but what does oxidizing in makeup mean? does it mean that it can darken after it hits with oxygen)?
@@ii_Mikotxyea, when a complexion product oxidizes it means that it gets darker/more orange after you apply it!!
I identify very much with "I only have two makeup speeds: nothing or full beat." I don't even wear concealer on no makeup days.
I'm two days into a no buy and it's going great so far 😂
So real about tarte. I’ve been kinda turned off from them for a while when i noticed there weren’t many complexion shades and then all the drama w them ensued. I’m white asf so i can find mg shades but it just felt weird supporting something like that.
Ever since then i’ve been so indifferent to them. They’re just whatever to me lol
idk why but you saying “and for those reasons, I’m out” absolutely killed me 😂
You mentioned you're trying to figure out where you want your content to go. I of course love your iconic criticizing new makeup videos and I do love the last video you did of examining Sabrina Carpenter's Met Gala makeup. I would suggest you keep the celebrity makeup videos going, but only do them when there is a new/popular makeup look a celebrity has worn. I think you only doing those kinds of videos when there's a new look people are loving keeps the series a little more special and spaces the videos out. I want your content to feel good to you and just know that I'll watch whatever you give me lol💗
i need to be more like you, i dont have a spending problem but i do want like everything, so when looking at new releases and being more careful and really seeing what i do and dont like thanks
the overly glowy blush thing is so real! i have liquid one by lumene that i really like but i pretty much always have to set it with matt powder blush since it's just wayyy too shiny and makes me look greasy more than glowing
I want it to work so bad 😭 But I also end up setting it which defeats the whole purpose.
I discovered this channel a bit ago and I can say I’m a fan
The Charlotte Tilbury wands were awful for me. The Pinkgasm one was goopy and looked awful, the contour wand was way too dark, and you could see where I applied it. I don’t buy any product that has that packaging anymore. $80 down the drain. I am just not interested in new makeup these days. I went to Ulta to get my hair cut today and walked around for a few minutes, and usually I leave with crap I don’t need. Today, nothing interested me at all. That’s a first for this girl. I can’t even go to the drugstore without wanting to buy makeup!
I’m so proud of you!! I’m slowly trying to make the same transition too. Although the only wand I like is the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Beauty Blush Wand.
Thank you for these videos! I went a little bit on a spending spree and really want to rein it in for next month.
its always a good day when you upload!! also your makeup looks amazing!
Your channel has grown so much since I started watching you a couple months ago! Amazing video, with amazing opinions!
Something about the Caliray bronzer only having one shade isn't sitting right with me. It doesn't look like it would look good on darker skin tones or even show up. I CAN vouch for their Surf Proof setting spray though! I've almost used a whole bottle and will absolutely repurchase.
I feel you, if it was being marketed as a bronzing drop the shades might make more sense. I don’t look at the formula and think “liquid bronzer.”
I could never use a liquid bronzer, it seems so messy and hard to use. I actually never used a bronzer in my whole life buy recently wanted to try contour at age 31... so I bought the too faced stick bronzer as they had a cool shade and it works great. But that mario one, and also the caliray and saie liquid bronzer would be impossible for a bronzer noob like me. The Fenty blushlighter look pretty interesting, I love fenty as a brand overall so will probs just get one of thse
Kelly gooch made a Very in depth video on all the kosas blushes which I found very informative and thorough, maybe that would be a good redécouvre for you as you consider these blushes
The liquid bronzer isnt for me and i prefer powder bronzer better completely agree with you elle!❤❤
as an ulta employee…i do not need another blush. but yes i will be buying one of the new kosas blushes😭
I have too many blushes and I’m still tempted by the Kosas blushes too. Join the club. 😅😭
The caliray setting spray is in my top 3 setting sprays!! Super fine mist and doesnt change the finish of your makeup but def helps w longevity
Woww great video! I feel like there’s way too many blush releases! But the kosas blush is really pretty I also like the Saie bronzer and thinking of pinking it up they have some nice cool tone shades. The fenty blushes look too shimmery and orange ish so I’d pass. Lady gaga blush looks so good but not sure if it would last long since it’s a balm. I also feel we have way too many bronzing drops. Some really good drugstore lip liners are the essence 8h and elf lip liners and morphe and colorpop. Some good drugstore powder blushes are the nyx buttermelt blush, Milani baked blush and the essence blushes please keep making these videos!
no wayy I was just in the middle of watching ur latest makeup review thing when u posted lol
Your dedication to the make up mic is inspiring 😂🤩😍!!! I am absolutely LOVINGGGG the conversation make up content. I do have bad fomo but 95% of time I'm more happy with what I already have😬. I realize I can still enjoy my passion for make up and new things WITHOUT having to try EVERYTHING 😂😂😂 Your videos are sooo enjoyable and very helpful logical thinking in which purchases are a good choice
How can we call the sponge tip unhygenic when we literally rub a doe foot applicator across our lips and then dunk it back in to be stored in the lip oil? Think dior or any other brand
Very interested in those L'Oréal blushes I'm waiting for someone to demo it
I need this rn I was thinking to go to Sephora and buying out the store because I think I need it
What’s your lip combo here girl!?❤
I have the refy eyebrow gel and I HATE IT SO MUCH. I can’t return it anymore and I’m trying to pan it but it’s so much. I wanna get rid of it before I get another one but it’s so hard 😭😭 I also think the Kosas tinted brow isn’t good either. Maybe I got the wrong shade but it just doesn’t hold, the clear one either
I had the experience with both, benefit is still the BEST imo. And if you don’t like crunchy brows, then try Rare Beauty when you can!
The Danessa Myricks Ymmy Skin blurring balm is a regretful buy. I have dry skin so I knew it had the potential to dry my skin out but I also live in the desert and work outside so I was looking for something to help my foundation last and this one influencer I watch Too Much Mouth uses it religiously to keep her makeup budge-proof.
The funny thing is that it doesn't dry out my skin, it's just the texture I hate, as it gives me sensory overload, and on top of that, I didn't notice much of a difference in my makeup lasting so it's something that just sits in my collection. I'm going to give it to a work friend who wants to start makeup but has no idea where to start, so after sanitizing a bunch of products I'm essentially giving her a starter kit to play with so she can experience the fun I had getting into makeup but without the overspending.
Ahhh I also strongly disliked the blurring balm. 😅 I chose the wrong shade and hated how it felt in my skin.
I've been seeing that the kosas blushes are ashy looking sooooo maybe not lol
Makeup by Mario liquid bronzer is great it’s more of like a base or to mix w foundation or a bronzer it’s great. And actually pigmented
I understand if you wouldn’t buy those but just a reminder that the makeup by Mario works really good as serum bronzer like for bronzing drops and I think this product is something you should test in the store as for FENTY I’m not interested in any of the shades. I have to buy only one blush and this is hard kosas, or rhode, or Haus labs personally kosas is good but can wait rhode is a brand that I really love so I can’t hold myself. As for Refy it depends if your a simple girly and as I can see your not it is buildable coverage and if the shade that you got doesn’t match you can exchange it I’d actually buy it but not now just cuz like 2 months ago I bought a new concealer as for tower 28 and ouai I don’t need it but low key looks convincing
Yeah, I don’t know if I ever thought to myself “I want a serum bronzer” but we will see in store! Thanks for sharing your thoughts. 🫶
The packaging on the makeup by Mario is nothing new. PUR has had this packaging for there 4 in 1 foundation for god like 5-6 years. People so shocked by it I’m just like confused. But proud of you for being more critical on these launches. The ND pallet I’m dying to get cause I’m forever kicking myself on never getting the gold pallet when it was out. And those tones are my favorite on myself and something I’m missing in my kit.
I don’t shop PUR so I wouldn’t know. 🤷♀️ I think it’s the first time for many people seeing a component released like that, so I get the shock.
I hope you like the ND golden palette! I listed over the gold palette for a while too, but realized I don’t like true yellow gold eyeshadows on me.
Hi i love ur vids, but i feel like u make a lot of vids of criticizing products so can u make a vid abt ur fav products. I still think u should make these kind of vids too.
It’s coming!! Also I’ve shared some in my “Sephora Sale Recommendations” videos and throughout all my budget shopping videos.
Hey Elle! I‘m a silent viewer and I‘ve been watching your videos for such a long time now! Usually I don’t really like videos where people just talk and talk and so on, but your opinion really matters to me! I actually have a question: I‘ve been wanting to try out setting spray and I was wondering if I should get the rare beauty setting mist or the Charlotte Tilbury setting spray.. I‘m gravitating towards the CT one because I know everybody loves it and I haven‘t heard people talk bad about it. What do you think?! 🎀🫶🏼
Are you looking for the setting spray to provide longevity and/or glow?
For a more dewy setting spray that feels like skincare, then Rare Beauty. I can’t remember if it helped with longevity much.
If you want glow but also long lasting makeup, then Charlotte Tilbury. It’s slightly tacky and has more shine than the Rare Beauty.
Also thank you so much for watching my videos and supporting!! 🥹
@@ellerchuthank you so much for the quick reply!! I’m so happy you helped me choose one - I think I‘m going with the Charlotte Tilbury one. The glow while still holding my makeup in place sounds really good! Looking forward to getting the mini and then might splurging on the big one! ☺️💗
I discovered this channel a bit ago and I can say I’m a fan
Omg yay i love this! I also take a "prove to me you're worth my money" approach and need all the help i can get!
I like the way you described this 🙌
