I got mine yesterday and I’m enjoying this ship. My first game was a 2,450xp game so nothing crazy but still solid and all my other games were good but nothing to write home about. I like the new mechanic more than I thought I would and the 360 turrets have always been a favorite little perk for me. The HE is solid, AP feels pretty lackluster and the ship itself feels more solid Than I expected. Overall, it’s still a DOT ship and I don’t view fire damage as effective as AP damage due to the fact that a lot of it gets healed back but a good addition to the game imo. GG Jerk. Sinking carriers with planes will always be satisfying. A bit of Schadenfreude towards those rat bastards is in order.

I know that ya made one many moons ago and though it was highly anticipated it ended up disappointing the masses as rather underwhelming, while the Tallinn took all of the headlines, but...i think it got buffed since then if I'm correct so....is it better in 2024 than it was in 2021? Is the Riga the cruiser it should be? So that's my video request of the Great and Powerful Metajerk.... Cheers!
I was watching pc when the line came in, saw flambass and crew slaughter with 3 golden Lions. But I would like to ask about the commander 4th perk reads: damage from your cruiser increases substantial damage to the same ship up to 50%. Does it reset if you switch targets and switch back. So you shot ship A 5x then shoot shipB once then you shoot A again. Does A go to 6x or start back at 1x
My understanding is that it is a constant tally on any ship until you or they are sunk, meaning it does not reset.. if I remember, I can test it in training rooms next stream.
Oh and another question; can you use the airstrikes to spot ships from their aa, which is a common trick on pc, or does legends not render the aa fire when the ship is not spotted?
The air strikes are brutal when they hit. I had one drop where I set three permanent fires on a Wichita. And each of those bombs gives you more damage in each subsequent shot. I'm a little frustrated with this ship, though, since its guns are somewhat underpowered with a low fire chance that you can't buff and the fact that it has no spotting whatsoever. It does seem like a concealment build is the way to go, but even so, it can get pushed by a DD and not be able to do anything about it. I like it, though. It's different. It's not overpowered or underpowered, imo.
I agree with you. I’m usually getting 5,750-8,750 damage on good drops with some legendary skill built up. Meaning, I’m also shooting the ship while meeting the legendary requirements. I personally like the ship and the mechanic but I totally agree, it isn’t op, it’s just a different mechanic that won’t be for everybody.
No, just reading the tea leaves of where the development is going. Still think the campaign will be Vallejo, Enterprise for big 💰, then maybe early access for the hybrids? Maybe they’ll just introduce them outright (seems unlikely though), but to show off the legendary tier Louisiana? Hmm, hope there are a couple other bureau projects. Oh, guess it has been stated E is the campaign, huh

I don’t think it’s the greatest ship there is, but I do think it’s quite fun, and unique.. very good campaign ship for once, nicely balanced.

Yes! I have already done this many times… flying them over DDs (or whatever) to see the AA fire and get a better idea of where they are 👍

What are your captains inspirations on this one?
Karel Doorman (that might not be right, it’s the guy who comes with it) and then I’m using Mikawa for concealment and von muller for additional speed.

You can’t drop on yourself, there is a minimum range on them, but man would that be hilarious if you could drop on yourself to leave a match 😂
