Whelp, this one made me cry, just last week I posted a picture on a social media site of the Coplestone oak! So many memories of my childhood haunts and waiting at the bus stop for school, I remember you Alfie and Louis. Seeing the playground we all spent so much time in looking so desolate fair broke my heart! Why is it not still a playground?

Hi there loving the videos, my ancestors lived in Cann cottages circa 1770's to early 1800's. They rented the cottages and land behind as far as the brook, weaving linen goods as a living.

Stumbled across this today. I remember that garage at 5.36min in. I also remember the Howard Gem Rotavator that lived in there. If you look closely it’s just sticking out in the old picture. Many happy childhood memories of the area.

That was a very sturdy machine as kids we used to use it as a truck lol I could do with it now it will go through my garden so much quicker than a spade

@@harrychef thanks for the reply Harry. Watching your video stirred up so many memories. Used to walk past the garage and try and a sneak peak through the crack in the double doors. Remember the park well. Lived there from 1976-2003. Remember the Gem the noise of its engine whine being used in the allotments behind star garage. 👍🏻

@@harrychef didn't think you would remember me, as you were one of the older lads as me a madgey would say. I think it was Ian Benson, Tony Martin, Paul whitely with his race prepared hillman imp, that you may remember.
