- On Tuesday, 38-year-old Anthony Leonard is expected in court. He's accused of pulling a gun on a lineman. Local leaders are addressing these types of threats.
Absolute stupidity of a few wrecking it for the many
Juneteenth
A 5 year no parole would stop this but it won't happen.
@craigcooknf Texans. Some of them? Best people anywhere, Hank Hill, like that. Some others? Not so much.....
Respect the Electrician please!
Its coming from a certain group who don't know how to check their own...
People gotta understand it's frustration then there's anger then there's stupidity
Let me guess.. wild guess.. he was black?
not always
you can find vids of all colors doing it
its the US and their xenophobia I guess, anyone who isn't from their place is an enemy
but that's kind of what the gov of the state wanted no?
@@underarmbowlingincidentof1981 yeah yeah turns out i was right it was a devontequarius that did this don’t hate the messenger
@@sosadavinci5533 nobody hates the messenger
I mean its no wonder really in Houston. once saw the city plans, racist by design, highway interchanges placed carefuly for maximum damage and then the induced drug problem once black people began to organize? A ressource by the prison industry eh, modern slavery, and you are fooled like them all.
@@sosadavinci5533bravo, I know we can count on your support as President Trump produces some of the most vile xenophobia towards the immigrant Community. I want to thank you for your bravery. it’s no small task to take on Trump and Trump supporters with their vicious lies and hate.
Seen a couple middle fingers flipped at centerpoint trucks while driving around getting relief from a hot house…not to the out of town lineman.
You want them arrested or what?
Hell nah! Just thought that was an interesting way to express what they were feeling at the time….instead of threatening their lives. I was without power for 5 days. I felt the frustration growing everyday. Sucks when you’re paying $500 energy bills every month..I can see why people would be fed up.
@@reflect-z3i Within my lifetime you could be arrested for the F word (Comic Lenny Bruce arrested for that)
But then we let cops do their jobs and enforced immigration

Same culprits as always. But they are the victims right? What a joke

Why would they try to stop from getting power on? Doesn't make any sense
They are harassing lineman sitting all day on parking lots, , doing nothing, all day. No the ones working
@@user-go8tl4mr7o They may not had what they needed for repairs
Who died and made you boss? You want anarchy not democracy
Who are 'they' exactly? Is it a diverse group making these threats?
Well, regardless of the amount of trucks in the parking lot, one doesn't know if they're waiting on transformers, poles insulators, wire, substation specific parts.. Trust and believe the plant man wants his outta state trucks back in his area asap. I live directly in the same county as the nuclear plant and we did 21 days without power after Hurricane Isabel and 27 days after the Ice storm... outta state boys didn't hurt for nothing. People would bring them food, drinks, beer for the hotel. We were extremely grateful.
Houston must have some ratchet citizens. 😳 Ratchness exists everywhere, but this insane. Who don’t want and need electricity????
Who is getting charged for at least 3 heat related deaths? Centerpoint Energy?
All out of town crews should’ve shut down for 3-5 days or gone home!
If left to fend for themselves it would look like Haiti in a few short days.
Why would you threaten prople who are trying to help 😡
Diversity n sheit.
They are harassing the linemen that sit all day on parking lots, doing nothing. No the ones working
Because it's the republican way. Lol
@@user-go8tl4mr7o Maybe they should consider being a linemen. So they can get things moving.
@@user-go8tl4mr7o Not their job to harass They are just proving why they don't belong in America
The original suspects 😂
What exactly is the rationale of these people threatening the line workers?
I'm still trying to find that out? I don't understand it.
Mayor is friends with Centerpoint people off course. They are making millions. Linemen are working 3-6 hrs daily, getting pay 16hrs every day. They are coming back a lot of overtime, pay food and hotel
Then why are YOU not a lineman doing a better job?
He has been only in office for a few months, what about the former mayor and his administration?
BS. And the people are away from their families and homes to help your ungrateful self out. If there is a priority list, you should be at the bottom.
So disappointed in Houston
Then you don’t know houston. This is par for the course.

Creative decision to put the anchor in front of an area that either has no power or no electricity normally. Adds a bit of emotion to the story; if I could just put my finger on what type of emotion hmmmm frustration that’s it. This is the reason the only time anyone watches local news is during natural disasters. Yes, I’m in Houston and notice this is a comment on a CZcams video. Two min and eleven seconds is about all I can stand and in reality I made it to 35 seconds before I paused it to write this.
I don’t believe there should be a difference in sentencing, I think we should just pass the sentencing we want for all people who do these type things and stick to it. Line worker, immigrant, LGBTQ, or law enforcement, or regular old normal individual. Choose the punishment for the crime and apply equally to everyone.
Wheelchair General Greg Abbott left Texas during the storm, like Ted Cruz.
Are they blaming the workers for the hurricane that knocked down all the power lines? People really addicted to their electronics just mad at whatever.
Why are some of the people in Houston attacking the linemen? Some of these guys are leaving their families to come to your state to try and help you guys.
And who has spent the past week exaggerating and inflaming people's uncertainty, anger, and frustration? Who has been looking for and reporting every possible excuse further to criticize and blame CenterPoint, so that people are now so angry they might be violent toward anyone involved with the power restoration effort?
Blame Centerpoint not the victims
@@reflect-z3i You're saying the local media is the victim? Really? And CenterPoint should be blamed for people threatening and intimidating linemen?
Blaming is much easier than thinking, isn't it?
@@houstonsam6163 what's your problem with the media telling the truth
The news channels have a big hand in inflaming the public. There, I said it.
@@reflect-z3i I blame liberal media for the lack of civility and a lack of common sense
They turned criminals and the shiftless into heroes
I am so confused, why in God's name would someone want to harm tha workers trying to get tha power back on ?
Low IQ and Race card protection
They not trying to get the power back on , they milking the clock as much as they can , they a whole army of trucks sitting at the homedepot on 290 and Fairbanks just sitting around
I saw a Centerpoint parked all day on a CVS parking lot. I asked them they said were assigned to l0 blocks ,they were done and had no more orders. They worked 3 hrs but get pay 16hrs every day. People were dying this guys get police to protect their 13hrs lunch break.
unfortunately thats how the cookie crumbles. they are the linemen not the assigners
Lineman have SPECIFIC specialties / certifications, they are not interchangeable to every task.
@@bobroberts2371 but people dont think like that. they act like they the bosses like sit down and move up north
Enhance charges for center Pointe
what about centerpoint being locked up?
The divergents not need electric for they maze.
Im betting we didnt hear the whole story
Second admendment rights in texas lol. Great job
Tired of watching them milking the clock in this heat / life is full of risks
Not quite sure how to take this comment. You do realize that working on these lines is EXTREMELY dangerous and care must be taken. And sometimes that care naturally slows down the process. After Ike some people went without power for 2 or 3 weeks. We’re just barely past a week.
@@pukaseek agree but a city ranking top 3 populations / if this a problem when a category 2 hits were in big trouble/ somebody unprepared or stealing the money
