I have a micro account and use .01 or .02 lots following your strategy (kinda jj) so I have margin enough to hedge. This way I made a +127% last year and +21.2% so far this. Thanks for showing me that trading is simple and we shouldn’t overcomplicate it with 20 indicators ✌🏻

The higher the risk, the higher the reward. It's also a mix of withdrawing your gains on a regular basis so that you don't blow them with your account when it goes south. It's mostly all money management, Nick is spot on.
Nick you are absolutely right true word, no one knows where the market is going, controlling risk is the holy grail in trading.
I have been seeking for a way to trade forex the hedging way and i will say, your understanding and insight of hedging strategy is super. I am practicing it on the demo account to get perfect.

The step from a small account to a big one is very hard to accomplish. Greed, anxiety, impatience take a major role against you. A lot of resilience is mandatory in this game...

Telegram follower here. Unfortunately I'm asleep for most of it lol being in the wrong time zone. But I still like to follow even though I'm using a indicator strategy trading mainly daily chart (Jim Brown High probability trading method) that i'm learning which also involves hedging sometimes. . Nick's approach has certainly helped me understand how important it is to keep it simple and highlighted to me how important support and resistance levels are. Cheers.

To be honest, that's the correct approach of course sometimes that hedge will be a pain in the a*** to manage but in the long run , for probably 95% of retail traders that's the only way to go , whatever time frame , renko , range charts you look at or any financial instrument

Nick, great video. I don’t trade forex so I’m not familiar with lot sizes. If you were to translate lot sizes to percentage of the account balance, what percent per trade would you risk on a $50K account? 1%, 2%, etc… just ballpark is fine. Thanks!

Yes real deal mr bold, keep adding to your loosers one day change direction and you break even or profit, you need endless pocket for that strategy, is easy to do that when you have a big account, why you don't do that on 3k or 5 k account, yes... margin call if you keep adding or play with 0.01 lots, the money that you loose in trading you get it back from the mentorship. Isn't true hedging illegal in the US? Well IK it is so are you closing one trade before taking the opposite? Or are you using unregulated brokers to hedge?

Hi Nick i've been watching a few videos you made, up until now i've been a hodler and a swing trader at most. Your videos make sense and I'm ready to start trying your technique. I have only one question though, is it possible for you to make a video for absolute noobs (like me) where you can show step by step what platform you use, how you actually place a Hedge and a future and long/shorts? How to apply leverage, and how much, and maybe go into detail about therms like "standard Lot" etc.

I could, but I think people should just learn the basics from somewhere like babypips.com - it's free, and a lot of it is just figuring things out as you go. A lot of courses often times get people to think in terms of black and whites, and I believe guided experience is a much better way to learn, so just go and search for how to do specific things you want to do. How to open an brokerage account, how to place a trade, what the different order types are, how to close it, how to calculate risk, how to XYZ - all of this will come with experience.

If you not ready to lose money on market don’t trade. Market is constant up and downs. Sometimes you lose sometimes you win.
2 years of wagyu beef studying..blew 3 accounts..the last 2 months nick shawn style has my £200 initial up £4k...its a personality thing..I have friends who have been trading years longer than me. Telling them its just support and resistance, 50/50 has them tearing their eyes out..they do not WANT to hear that their 500+ indicators are useless..its like thr movies where at the start of a fight, one guy is doing all the fancy spinning and flips and styles..but gets beat with a simple kick to the balls..simple support/resistance trading is a kick in the balls to all the other fancy shit IMO..

So you are pretty much saying we can become rich by drawing triangles! Amazin!
I think you can clean up the inefficiencies here and help people who can't have open sell and buy orders at the same time on the same account. If your intention is to hedge, realize that any movement in price after the hedge is a net sum of 0, and you make it worse by adding commissions and financing charges. Instead of hedging, just close the position. Follow the exact same strategy though and when the price moves up or down to where you WOULD have sold more, you sell there again with your 1 lot. Just might look weird on the account because there will be times during the trade where you have no lots.... but it is mathematically the same (with less fees).

Hey Nick! I really enjoy your videos and how youre keeping things simplr and easy to follow. However I think what youre saying -and actually doing leeds to a little confusion... Youre saying all the analysis is "degenerate idiot style", however you do wait for certain conditions to be met before taking a trade. For example the retest + a bullish sign of pressure (you said that live on tape). Dont you think you debase your trading a little? You do keep it as simple as possible. But you do have some criteria that has to be met and you do have some rules.

You need higher then a 1:1 since you have commission and swap fees
You’ll need 1:1.2 with swap and commission to cover 1 loss
Well if you stick to the buy side you wont have the swap fees.

If you talking about blowing accounts as in propfirm, what propfirm accepts trading without stoploss and hedge trade?
Nick at the time of writing this doesn't trade with prop firms, I'm not sure which or if any allow hedging, do some googling 👍
@@BrandonDrives No it sounded like he talked about propfirm accounts, that's why i asked. I dont know of any propfirm that accept to trade like this.
I’m glad you acknowledged in this video that this method doesn’t work forever it eventually fails and you will blow the account. (Because Sooner or later price will just keep going and you’ll have closed your hedge too soon for the last time). Glad you said that. And I guess if your solution is just to only have a small account and then grow it and withdraw all while your still ahead I guess that’s a method tho not sure how it stacks up to just using stop losses (like which one is more profitable in the long run) but anyhow . Glad you acknowledged it for those trying to follow this method who havent taken the time to test it themselves on sim. I found this to be true every time in extensive simulation, it will eventually blow using this method. But yes sometimes that happens which sometimes it takes a while and you can avoid it sooner, tho usually when I’ve avoided it it’s been because i occasionally took early losses (closed some positions in loss.) even with that I eventually blow it.
If you’re using a funded account, say 100k, but you can only lose 3k before the account is blown trading futures (like NQ for example) then I’m assuming you would just treat your account and sizing as if you only have 3k to lose, which is what you have in reality and should probably only do 1 micro contract for sizing. Right?
