    I still own one of these Sony SL- HF 1000s in 2021 and love it! It's still in near mint condition after all these years. 👌🏾

    I had a couple of these. It was an easy mod to make it use Beta I. Just cut the face to allow the BII/BIII switch to go further to the left to the BI position. I had this edit setup and it was a pain to use. Professional equipment was so much easier and quicker to use.

    hi sorry to say i have j got in to betacam i did find the betamax pro deck can't take the work load and 40 years later they are
    going bad inside the thing is you just can't change over parts easy in the models like this
    i went over to betacam because the betamax are at there end of life
    i have 60 working betacam decks why so many alot came from studio hire places love them for the audio
    liner audio is ace they are getting hard to find in the uk i had so many from around the uk

    They had pro version of Beta called Betacam that was pretty much the standard in broadcasting from the mid-80s to 90s. Most everything is digital now.

    @JasonHarder That's pretty neat. If you don't mind my asking, which VCR models (VHS or beta) do you use for your transfers? Quality looks great.
