    you have to see 2x speed version of seventeen dancing this choreography
    and if you saw this moment in 3:50, i've never seen anyone do similar move before seventeen. actually, seventeen are known as trendsetters in kpop choreographies and after this choreography, the choreographer that works with them got calls from companies of popular groups (like JYP and also produce 101 groups and a lot more) so it's normal if you see similarities. seventeen are known for their choreographies for a reason, they always show something new and unique what becomes more popular later

      Actually I think what Jeff was saying at 3:50 is about this linking hands dance thing (that's already a thing, not because of SVT, in dance choreographies you can see that in different works around the world, probably where Jeff is coming from) and how he saw that being done by other groups even before SVT or after, you can see that Jeff talks about this kinda of technic in his 'The 7th Sense by NCT U' reaction, and you can see is kinda of linked to certain concepts for other groups, there's this kinda of movements in Girl groups choreos too, but he didn't notice that those choreos are in different years, so is not 'a trend in Kpop'... Over all each one execute with their own spin of personality, so although SVT would perform this different then NCT who is different then GFriend, their choreographers all like this type of movement, but neither of them created that or do it because is 'trending'... And I absolutely love SVT aproach to this hands dance, I think their number of members makes it even more pleasant to the eye

They’re all so talented and very hardworking, most of their choreo are tight yet they always pull it off. Always. And the vocals? Blessed by the heavens. And the fact that they create and compose their own music is??? Oozing with talent, that’s what they are. They deserve a whole lot more love and attention and appreciation than what they’re receiving from everyone and idk thank you for coming to my ted talk i guess lmao

    @zaraloves8420 Před 4 lety +9

    Hi. I’ve noticed that you have reacted to two kind of “contemporary-style” pieces from Seventeen which are one of the best ones from them. So I would like to recommend Snap Shoot which is more theatrical and musical style. They unfortunately don’t have an MV for this as it’s a B-side. But there is a live stage of them. The best in my opinion is at MCountdown where they were wearing pink outfits. This was actually performed alongside when they were promoting Fear, which was anything but pink. Haha. Duality at its finest.
    Just some background info here. Seventeen actually debuted with a refreshing concept at first. And their first three releases were more of a playful and musical concept. In order of release: Adore U, Mansae and Pretty U. I recommend all of them. But in particular, Pretty U was the most musical-like out of the three choreography. They even incorporated a sofa into their dances! Imagine that, a sofa as a prop! But after that, they started to delve more into serious and contemporary pieces. Don’t Wanna Cry was actually one of their first adventure into contemporary. So it’s been around 2/3 years since Carats have last seen a musical concept from them. Until last year, when they released Snap Shoot with their album, ‘An Ode’. So would be nice to see you check them out.

    this pleased me so much. when I found out about these guys the first video I watched was don't wanna cry and I was so overwhelmed at how incredibly gorgeous and different this choreo was to other choreos from other groups that I had seen and I kid you not I showed this video to all my family and friends because I was so in awe, but NONE of them love watching dance and performances like I do. They don't appreciate dance and choreography and art the way I do, so none of them could understand that it's not just because they're idols and they train 12+ hours a day or that they have to be synchronized. It's the fact that not all of them are dancers. They didn't become idols because they can dance. Only 4 of them make up the performance group and consider themselves dancers. When I watch this choreo I see them all as dancers and as someone who previously danced and knows how challenging it can be when dancing really isn't your strong suit, to say I was and am amazed it an understatement. I just warms my heart to see someone else see how incredible this choreo is and had the same reaction as me. It makes me so happy!

    The thing with Seventeen is that they have been training together with the intention to debut 17 members for years, while some members haven't debuted or went to do something else, the formation you see now has still trained to debut together for a long time, unlike other groups who usually train with others and then only get train with their members if they debut. The choreographies are mainly done by themselves and sometimes have the support of an actual choreographer so the dedication and discipline is even stronger because of the expectations they put into each other. Same with their sound, is all done by them.
    I'm glad a group was able to carry on the discipline in dance after Shinee and Infinite as it wasn't that much a big thing in kpop and now it's one of the biggest points.
