A special cover by a very special vocal band, and yes this was during the pandemic, yet these guys didn't stop working but worked even harder to produce music for us fans even though the logistics were tough....they did another few awesome songs during the pandemic, and one of them is MOONSHINE. Chance heard it while watching a 2018 film and sung by Foy Vance....it's pretty awesome

They’re so good. I love them. Austin and Adam killed it. This was during Covid so I thought the use of tvs was clever. Love those harmonies. Try some Christmas music like O Holy Night, Mary Did You Know, Do You Hear What I Hear. They’re incredible. 😍😃

I always loved the late Percy Sledge's original (not so much Michael Bolton's - I thought it rather over-wrought). Austin's (now) wife was in the studio and it's her that he's looking at). Austin expanded on the line "I'll give you everything I've got" in his original "Hers Ain't Mine" (on his channel). The singing, harmonies & beatboxing are simply outstanding.
all The guys but Austin filmed their parts from their home made studios that is why the boxes. Austin was actually in a studio with his one true love now his wife Amberly. All of those looks and the song was for her.
Tim wondered how many babies were born 9 months after this came out!! 😂 Tim had to talk Austin into doing this song.
Austin's lady love, Amberly Hall (now Amberly Brown) was standing by his camera, so those little flirty glances were for real. You can see how they look at each other at Austin Brown solo youtube channel in the videos Take the Night Off and Earn It. I'd also recommend What a Wonderful World (Animal Take). One of his sweetest videos.
The high notes at the end were an A5 and B5 - the A and B ABOVE the treble clef - Austin hits those notes so easily and better than any other male singer I've heard.
Austin did a fabulous job of this classic song. Loved Percy Sledge's version, but this was taken to another level. I think it is also better than Michael Bolton's version. And remember this was done during quarantine, so the guys weren't even together. The backing harmonies are great, along with Tim's bass. And Adam's vocal percussion is outstanding. Drummers have often commented on just how realistic his sound is. This is why these guys are my favorite a cappella group.

If you want an amazing original by Austin, "Playing with Fire ". This is simply one of the best songs I've heard in a very long time. The video is so well done, the dancers are insanely talented! Watch the video all the way to the end. You will get a peak behind the curtain and see a bit of each of their personalities...someone left the matches where the children could get to them!😊
The song is indeed amazing but I'm afraid I can't agree about the video. Very badly edited by someone who didn't seem to have heard the song, which deserved so much more. .

She felt the woman was not engaging with the audience (I'm not sure she used the phrase dead eyed, but...), and that the cut away from Austin at the climax was very much the wrong thing to do - there was more, but that is the gist of it.
Even though I don't agree with Patricia, she is entitled to her opinion that she backed up with reasons. I can respect that. 😊

I have never liked this song, neither the Sledge version or the Michael Bolton one. But the boys absolutely killed this. You aren't the only one who wasn't prepared, either. Amazing backing vocals, percussion perfection and Austin just sailing off into the stratosphere like it's natural. amazing.
Yes, Austin Brown nailed it. He gives himself completely here and also plays very well with the cameras. The great harmonies, deep bass and the unbelievably freaking good beatboxing/vocal percussion/vocal sounds finish it all off for me. I think it sounds perfect because of all the different beautiful voices. I grew up performing Percy Sledge which I already loved. Then came Michael Bolton's performance where I couldn't say for sure if it was better or not. But this one from Home Free certainly is.
Bolton's isn't better than anybody's.

He keeps looking over because his then girlfriend was in the studio with him, so he was able to sing this song to her in person.

Austin makes almost any song look easy. Just think of how many hours he has spent getting to this point.
And you are right - the background voices sort of melt into the background on this one. I have to make a dedicated effort to hear them.
This is so much better than Bolton's cover. Austin sings it as a man who is in love with being in love. He knows what love can do to a man - he's BTDT, but here he is - deeply in love and celebrating every moment of it.
