Boring weather is not a problem, it can even lead to the really strong photos. Join me on a day of my landscape photography with grey, flat, and boring light. Or is it?

Christian
Amazing location Christian. Some great photos you got there. It was interesting to see you scramble across those slippery rocks for that one shot. Glad you made it. Fantastic adventure out buddy 👍🙏
Hi Adrian, thank you so much, buddy! I'm happy that I tried it. Those glacier wholes down there looked really nice 😊
Have a great weekend,
Christian
Cloudy days are the best for moving water and waterfalls. You made me very nervous on those rocks!
Hi Dave, yes, overcast weather works well for waterscenes. Sorry for making you nervous on the rocks. I also was quite nervous myself, I have to admit 😉
Thank you for watching, my friend and nice greetings,
Christian
I agree. Waterfalls are very difficult when partly lit by bright sunlight.
I like this kind of photography. And it is very recognizable to lose something in nature. It happens to me often.
Hi Wim, oh yes, I also like this kind of photography. You have all time in the world, no stress. So relaxing 😊
I think, I need around 4 to 5 remote releases every year and till now I was never clear about where they have gone. Now I know 😆 I should definitely be more careful.
Thanks a lot for watching and enjoy your weekend,
Christian
Wow, great images , especially that first image. It is so nice! It looks like the eye of some mythical creature 😅 you know what they sat in ohotogtaohy... bad weather is good weather. And good weather is bad weather. So you're conditionsnwere great I guess 😊 grt guido
Hi Guido, thank you so much, my friend 😊 I also like this type of photographs, that's so relaxing. That's maybe an additional tip when I think about it: You also have the opportunity to take photos that are different to your common style 🙂
Yes, the conditions were definitely ideal for what I photographed that morning.
Thanks a lot and nice greetings,
Christian
Those photos were superb 👍💧
Thank you so much, Stig! Means a lot 😊
Enjoy your weekend,
Christian
@@christian.irmler the same
Christian
Realy risky for a serious fall at that slippery surface near the edge. Maybe put a pair of neoprene socks in your bag, will be handly for slippery surfaces. Nice video.
Hi @ScenicPaddler, thank you for caring about me, my friend 🙂 Usually I have my wellies with me when I'm out for waterfall photography. They have a really good skid-proofed sole. Just not that day 😬
Have a great Sunday,
Christian
I invariably carry a pair of ice spikes when photographing waterfalls, rivers and seashore. Much safer.
Hi Berny, thank you for the tip! Ice spikes on wet, slippery rocks? That works?
I have to say, I'm quite happy with the sole of my wellies, which I forgot in this video 😆 But I'm always open for something new.
Have a great weekend,
Christian
Stay safe, don't put yourself at risk for You Tube.
Hi Paul, thank you so much for caring about me, my friend 😊 I really enjoy to make these videos here on CZcams, but honestly, I didn't scramble down there just because of the video. Also without recording the video, I had went down there for taking the shot. It looked promising.
But anyway, you are right, of course: doesn't matter if it is for a video or for a photograph: we should never risk our lifes. I was careful, actually, also when it didn't look after that 🙂
Nice greetings,
Christian
Be careful, when scrambling on those rocks.
Hi @itakephotos1141, thanks a lot for caring about me, my friend! As I fear heights and there was a drop off behind I was careful. But I'm more than happy that I got the photograph in the end 😊
Have a great weekend,
Christian
@@christian.irmler you have a great weekend as well.
I thought you were going to continue down that slope 🫣🫣 hope your knee is ok after it
Hi Darren, oh man, in the first moment I also thought it would "pull" me down the drop off 😆
Thank you for caring about my knee. It was not a problem and it is in general almost healed, so that I can even knee down again carefully. That was not possible for years now. Maybe a good opportunity to think about a careful macro photography session again. We will see 😊
Nice greetings,
Christian
