A very different concept to the usual and as interesting cockpit videos presented on YT. A very special aerobatics-ballett-type presentation, beautiful. Thank you for flying and sharing this.
Takes me back to flying in a Chipmunk when I was in the ATC back in the early 90's. I didn't go on to be a pilot but did join the RAF and am still serving 29 years later. Thanks for uploading and keep the videos coming Richard!
Well … all I can say is, I know two people who would love to experience this! 🤩 👍🏻👍🏻👌🏻 xx
I watch your channel and bought both of your stoves last year. Your video brought back fond memories for me as I was an ATC A Cat gliding instructor at RAF Sealand for 14 years. I managed just over 4'000 flights.
I was down on Dartmore once and saw about 5-6 gliders doing the most extraordinary manoeuvres, not that high up and pretty close to each other amazing.it was like being dive bombed by seagulls.👍
I was stationed there 88-94 as Avionics Technician. Always remember having to patrol South Side of camp in a landrover when on guard duty. Started with week on, week off for 1 month. Then someone decided to do 3 months, week on, week off, week in work, week off, and so on. As a technician it was great but not what I signed up for!!!!
Thank you for your service 🫡
Hi Richard, great view from in the cockpit. Just makes sure you don’t it get mixed up with the day job. Some of those moves might spill the first class passengers drinks. 😎🇬🇧
Cool to be in the cockpit with you!
Thanks, Richard. Really enjoyed that.
A number of years ago I got to sit on the back seat of a T-28 Trojan that belonged to a friend of mine. He was an airshow pilot and was practicing his routine. To a 'straight & level' pilot, such as myself, those G-forces felt a bit uncomfortable. But I still enjoyed the flight.
Congratulations on your RAF retirement.
👍
Great flying Richard, I loved doing this back in my Air Cadet days in the Chipmunk over at former RAF Finningley , love to see more of these vids aswell as more of you funny bushcraft types 🙂👍
Wow, wow, wow. I could watch this over and over.
You could not have picked better music for your peace and joy.
Love this.
A wonderful change of pace and very interesting too - you look very relaxed and content when doing the rolls and loops, I could not do that, my belly would flip!! Lol.
Happy retirement Richard. Which aircraft was you flying? My father and I are going to Air Tattoo, RAF Fairford in July and glamping for a few nights, to watch the aircraft fly overhead is truly a spectacular event.
So, back to camping etc, are you planning any collaboration camps with Simon, Andy etc??
Take care Richard, all the best.
Great perspective of the day job, but how do you stop the Jetboil falling over? 🤔🙄🤭🤔
What an awesome watch!!! I hope you enjoy your retirement from the RAF. Before you retire, do they have to wean you off the Brylcream? 😀
Wow, Richard you’re a renaissance man and for you I pronounce that (Reh nay saans).
Cool AF!! 👍🏽
❤
Great. You made it look so easy, which I'm sure it isn't??
Great flying there Richard although I did notice from the dash you have only shot down 3 Jock's, sure you could have done better!! Up spirit's!
I remeber this video very well Richard! Beautiful music (by your son is n´t it?) during the barrel roll, loops and wingovers. Very nice choreography. I love it!! Cheers, Henk
I was in the ATC for 4 years before I joined the RAF, did some flying in a Chipmunk and was lucky enough to get a backseat in a Tucano! fast forward a few years and I had my first aerobatic experience in the back of a hawk, Ive never been so sick in my life, but I enjoyed every minute of it!! One last thing Richard, I hope you managed to bag a few pair of those gloves before you left 🙂
Wow hell of a day job Richard! 😮😮😮
Well played Richard! Enjoy your retirement and KTF🙏
Awesome Captain!!
Magical, may not be camping - but your of the cuff content. For me keeps your channel alive.. All the best and full respect - thank you, Happy retirement... 👍
Congratulations on your retirement, and thank you for your service!
Wow, it's so wonderful to see you doing what we all know is your day job but this was truly spectacular. Your concentration and sheer aptitude at what you and the way you do it is outstanding ....thanks Richard 😀😀🙂🙂🙂
Nice !
Hi Richard, What an amazing video, You looked so relaxed whilst flying like that, Sad you are retired but I guess when one door closes another opens, Thank you for sharing
Nice job Richard. Good luck in your retirement from the RAF res. Looking forward to seeing some more of your excursions under canvas or cloud. Keep winding up simon missed the funny bits.
Ladies and Gentlemen, the Captain asks if you could all brace yourselves for just one more loop before we land at Heathrow.
Congrats on the long service medal chap, mine arrived not long ago too. Another one for the rack
You should try those some time in your day job. 😂
Excellent work Richard and certainly beats work. Have you ever wanted to do the same in big commercial planes?
You look so calm and collected. Amazing stuff. Very impressive. What does it feel like for you?
First thought .... not the place I'd want to be if I had a stiff neck. Second .... I wonder how much altitude is lost per manoeuvre. Last .... retired?
Wow lovely 🫡
That was pretty cool watching that from inside the cockpit rather than just seeing it from the ground. Thank you
At least you didn't hit the ground and cause a fire. how much fuel?
Nice one Richard.🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮 if I was in there
🫡 🇬🇧 - but please don’t do that when I’m onboard!
Great piece of music from Ennio Morricone and great flying... Thanks!
