Read the whole manga and watched all of the episodes. Story wise I preferred anime because made more sense for me while manga was still a masterpiece. Beside the fact that they skipped half of the re manga from the anime was bad not gonna lie but season 1 and 2 masterpieces.

@@user-vt1zr9fo2c for some people it gets confusing (personally no idea why since i didint have that problem before i read the manga but thats just me). but think of anime season 1 and 2 as 1 story and manga as a seperate world. re: was manga based but kinda mixed well with the anime until they started skipping EVERYTHING from the manga.... but if it goes tworwards how they mixed season 2 and re: it dosent takes a genius to realise that kaneki was beaten by arima at the ending of season 2 (off-screen) and lost his memories which is why hes in the anti ghoul department.

This line is one of the most amazing and true lines for a character because Kaneki and well all of Tokyo Ghoul and any other fictional character lives in a world imagined by the author. They have no control over their actions and how much they suffer, that is all the author's doing. So in a way the one writing the story is the god and devil of the world they live in.
O damn I would watch an anime like that, where the author is making the characters and their actions but one they they start thinking all by themselves and they start turning on the author. The characters and the author are going to fight and shit. If anyone does an anime like that pls mail me ;-;

I'm not sure witch English version is the real one. But each of them makes sense.

There is no such thing as the real translation.
When ever you are translating from one language to another, it's rare for the words to translate perfectly.
Most of the time you end up with a broken translation.
A simple sentence like, "He likes to eat ice cream on a hot summer day"
Might become a broken sentence such as, "He like eat ice cream hot summer day".
Japanese is especially tricky because each kanji symbol usually has 4 different possible meanings.
Basically, what I'm getting at here, is that when you're trying to make a English translation of a Japanese song, there is no single correct translation.
Since your translating sentences where each word has 4 possible meanings, there is a large variety of possible ways to translate it.
So, the short answer is,
all the different English versions are probably correct.
So, really, I guess it all comes down to a matter of preference.
Jonathan Youngs is the real one. He is amazing! I have the song on an autographed CD that I bought at MomoCon. Caleb Hyles signed it to. I didnt know MomoCon existed until they announced they'd be there. Now I plan on going every year. 2019 MomoCon is already promising the voice actors of Sue and Uraraka from My Hero Academia, the current voice of Donald Duck, and several voice actors from Steven Universe.
