This is one big problem in Bangalore.. when you see open roads, after riding like a slug in traffic, you will definitely get the urge to ride @60 or so.. But the speed limit will be like 60 for cars and 50 for bikes 😂.(If no speed limit board is present).
PS: Was caught the first day I entered Bangalore... To my badluck, there was an idiot lorry driver, driving at 40 or so and, blocking me.. so tried to overtake and there the interceptor was waiting for me with open hands 😂. (Was doing 64 as per them when limit was 50) 😆
50km/h is the limit!! on ring road as well!!? 150cc+ bikes can do 50km/h at lower RPM easily. thinking abt super bikes they have to maintain at 2nd or 3rd gear!! 😂
Haha :D. Superbikes cant even ride in 1st gear man. May be put in neutral and left the bike go like that :D

I once paid 300 rupees as I was under the impression that 60 Kmph is the speed limit within the city. However, the cop insisted that for two wheeler it is 50 Kmph and 4 wheeler it is 60 Kmph. I did not have any cash in my pocket and had to walk 2 Kms to find an ATM and paid the fine. It was very depressing. I now remember all the choke points where cops camp with their radar guns for over speeding and always place myself behind a bus or a big vehicle to escape.

I tried to be as friendly as possible. And more over they also know that, 50kmph is a ridiculous speed on that kind of road :)

The trick here is, usually these interceptors will be on a regular basis at common points, to know that they are there, watch your fellow riders and drivers, all of a sudden you see everyone around you riding slowly on an empty piece of road, that's the clue that there is an interceptor ahead, cause the people who regularly commute on that particular stretch know about it, that's the way I found out and it surely helped me too... :)

You were lucky I was told to pay 2100rs fine or else they wont give me my licence back and they treated me like I was some kind of terrorist (worst experience of my life)

Cops with interceptors will be on that road in that part 90% of the times. In the exact same spot too😂. There aren't many roads in around Bangalore with higher speed limits. Even highways are capped at 80kmph or so.
