It's called a Sploot.
This is the proper way to introduce cats to water! People often forget that cats are as cautious as they are curious, so you have to introduce something new to them gradually. If you're cats don't warm up to the water, then you can turn to using cat wipes. My domestic shorthair HATES getting wet, but she absolutely LOVES being scrubbed down with the cat wipes. Unfortunately my manx cat doesn't feel the same; he flees the moment he sees the cat wipe container! X'D
Theres actually quite a few wild cats that love water, most notably Jaguars and Tigers. Too many people think "I hate water" is ingrained in their DNA when it's not.
Or...you can just don't wash them at all. I don't see a need of washing cats they can perfectly take care of themselves in this aspect.

@@yoongistongue4163 in the occasion where your cat is sick or really old it can become hard for them to groom themselves, or they may get really dirty/somehow covered with something they shouldn't have anywhere near their mouth. In which case you'd possibly need to bathe/clean them yourself. Otherwise it's best to let them do it themselves
@@yoongistongue4163 cats without hair actually require a bath every month or so to get rid of the oils that build up! So some cats do need baths to stay healthy, sick and old cats who cant take care of themselves properly need baths as well
It's such a good way of helping them refresh a little 🥺 You did it with so much care, they looked pretty comfortable and i hope they felt cooler after

This are excellent conditioning techniques!!! As long as you keep using treats, a calm, soothing manner, and pats and praise, the kitties will have positive associations and you can keep gradually using more water without them being afraid. It's not guaranteed, but there's a much better chance that they'll adapt well!! 🥰🥰🥰

Cats are natural swimmers. They don't need to learn to swim. They just don't like water, but it doesn't mean they don't know how to swim
yes but u must introduce them to the water so they will be confident enough to swim
@@fuzzie1075 no, they will just swim. If an outdoor cat suddenly fell in a pool, it would swim. They do it instinctively.
@@Karamarika yeah but you probably need to introduce it anyways-- if a cat falls into a pool or a bathtub without warning or preparation, it will likely be startled and stressed. if you at least introduce them to the body of water, it's less likely to be stressed.

I can't believe the cats have never taken a bath! They are sooo clean 😍😍😍
It's actually recommended not to bathe your cat unless you absolutely have too, since they have such good hygiene naturally. (Parasites, excessive filth, etc.) Cat's have very thin skin, so regular bathing dries it out and causes complications. Mine hasn't been bathed in a few years, not since her last bout with fleas. If your cat has long hair, you need to brush it regularly to avoid matting, and you will occasionally need to trim clumps of poop out of their sanitary (the fur near their butt) but otherwise, cats are just fine on their own.

🤣🤣🤣 코비와 베리가 조금씩, 천천히 물과 친해지길 바라는 두 분의 마음이 전해지길 바라봅니다~ 근데 베리와 코비가 아직까지 한번도 목욕을 하지 않았다니, 그게 좀 충격이네요~ 😂😂😂 허긴 그런 이벤트가 있었다면 영상에서 봤을텐데, 두 녀석이 목욕하는 모습은 영상으로 본 기억이 없네요.
언젠간 그 빅 이벤트가 열리겠죠??? 그런데 두 녀석은 목욕도 잘 할 것 같아요. 코비는 간식만 있으면 목욕도 뚝딱 해치울 것 같고, 베리는 데이남님만 곁에 있으면 뚝딱 할 수 있을 것 같네요~ 😆😆😆 연일 이어진 폭염으로 데이녀, 데이남도 힘드신데, 아이들을 위해 규모가 꽤나 있는 풀장을 준비 하셨네요, 엄청 힘드셨겠어요~ 🤣🤣🤣 그래도 아이들이 저렇게 좋아해 주니 다행이네요~ 😁😁😁
