Today I'm heading away from the tourist areas in Bangkok to a little area called Talat Phlu in Thonburi. We're going to be checking out 4 of my favourite Thai food spots in the the best night market in Bangkok. I'm joined today by my good friend @hungrytoexplore
First up we're heading to a legendary Auntie selling Khanom Bueng Yuan, a take on Vietnamese Banh Xeo.

That nam khao tod is a staple here in Texas as well for a lot of Lao house party. Almost every house party has that dish. But for that dish, I've been putting tamarind powder in it, which keeps the flavors intact for days. I have friends that put limes in it. It doesn't last long. A few hours later, it started to have a foul smell of mold. That's my preference. I also have coworkers who have ordered both versions, they preferred the tamarind version bc they said that they wanted to finish the next day, which still have the same flavor. When they tried the lime version, they had to throw it away. Plus, another leaves you might want to try the nam khao tod with is the leaf of the snake beans. It has a nutty flavor, which a lot of street food videos doesn't have. But the bai phlu is my favorite too.
