When girls become pregnant under the age of 16, they should be encourage to tell their parent but if they fear their parent will abuse them for becoming pregnant, then they should be allowed an abortion. It is important girls are made aware, their virginity is to be reserve for the man they want to marry and their marriage will be more incline to last a long time.
I don't agree with having sex at all under the age of 16 but i think you should have sex before marriage at some point with more than one partner per lifetime. Why? because once you are married you will spend your marriage with repressed sexual urges and the constant curiosity of what its like to have sex with someone else. Your more likely to cheat if you only ever sleep with one person because theres nothing to compare to.
although we never saw it, leanne often spoke in later episodes about having an unhappy homelife and how their dad couldn't get his head around having a gay son(lance) so i can imagine how hard it would have been to tell them that leanne was pregnant. as for the sex before marriage thing its only religious nuts who believe that god wants them to preserve their virginity. i agree with one of the comments below about enjoying sex with multiple partners because it does die down when you find the person to settle down with.
