This is an excellent review. At last a proper honest review from someone that has properly used a mini dumper thank you very much

No worries! Glad it’s helpful, there’s not a lot out there. Still going strong to be fair, I don’t use it as much now but it starts whatever the weather and no matter how long it’s been sat around.

Great machine! I own the same MD-500 myself. I bought it because I needed to transport a lot of material up the slope where the construction takes place. It allows you to be self sufficient and you don't depend on helper's hands. Means you can transport as a single person on-demand or just limited amount of material in contrast when you have to organize a group of people to unload a whole truck at once. Also found multiple other applications how to use it ;)

Have MD 500 Lumag almost 2 years, just like reviewer. And same problems apply - quality of materials (steel) is horrible. But as said, the engine and tracks system is surprisingly reliable.

Thanks for the review and comments really helpful. I’m looking for one to carry wood logs to carry up a steep hill so liked the loading cart rather than the skip that most power barrows have. I’m just wondering how powerful it is if it could manage up a 30 degree hill loaded ?
I see there is an electric one as well probably not as powerful and you wonder how long the batteries would last. Cheers for the review.

There is a video showing weakness on the metal welds underneath the tub/bucket where they split. I’m unable to find it again, if anyone has the link it would be useful. They are of very poor quality and need to be reinforced if it is intended for long term use and carrying/dumping the maximum capacity. Other than the minor problems, these machines are a great work horse. Like all Chinese machines made to a low budget, they have to be maintained thoroughly and in many cases, modified.

Looking for a micro dumper and it's not easy to find reviews, this really helped. Was there any other machines that you considered before buying? Thanks

I’m glad it helped, I struggled to find any reviews to help me decide which inspired this review. I considered the hi tip dumpers etc but the bin is more like a skip so limited the versatility of the load bay. With this I can load materials as well as hardcore or earth.

Have you tried to carry concrete in this?

The same bits that have broke on urs are exact same bits that have gone in mine. Cheap bits on a cheap machine.
