Wayne has helped Julia for the coocking challenge and in other episode he is really voluntary to make the challenge , he was the guy who hate cheating and try to cofront his team who cheat with Raj and Bowie .
He was not a thread and was underated because peoples forget he has a good stamina and no one is afraid seeing Wayne.
And remember the philosphy of MK : don't be too strong don't be so weak no one voted you , this archetype was for Wayne in todays world everyone want crushing the potential thread more than the season 1-3 on total drama, so that was the detail who saved Wayne and rewatching the old episode he was like a character who need some attention when he is alone and always judged if he is not with Raj , he has a discret arc and was more a protagonist than Caleb.
Conclusion : He won because today total drama assume a new philosophy to win .
MK was busted since the season 1 we discoverded her secrets, Damien could be the guy who apply the philosphy but Julia discoverded he became a threat since he found the idol .
MK : Winning is only for strong people, nah nah people think that .
Wayne : Im the proof.

Julia vs Damien should have been the finale, their rivalry like Nichelle vs Julia should’ve lasted more than an episode and it was way more entertaining that whatever Wayne was

It was the same woth Heather in season 1 and 3 when she avoided elimination everytime because of the plot but that doesn't change how she deserved her win lol

Honestly Wayne winning was so random lmfao. Julia would’ve been a better winner but overall I don’t mind Wayne since I’d rather him win over Caleb because I actually don’t like him at all. Even though he was irrelevant and him winning was so odd. But yeah I’m with you that this season was pointless.

You’re not the only one. I was furious when Wayne won. He was the worst winner along with Mike from All-Stars. At least people Cameron and Beth actually played really well in their seasons and people compare them to Wayne as they’re all underdogs. Wayne did nothing the whole season other than fool around and I see so many comments saying he deserved the win. The Total Drama community I think is making me lose braincells.
I reacted the same way. Very disappointing winner for a season that was mostly good. At least we got the Julia and MK friendship.
I enjoy Wayne’s win in a ironic way like it breaks the formula for most winners he sucked in challenges and didn’t have a strategy but for me not every winner needs that I like how he made it through in a realistic way being no threat to anyone and being a good person although I wish he had more hockey game-plan analysis like in season one but for an actual winner I would pick someone else like what if Wayne got eliminated during the cheating arc Bowie left right after and this motivates Raj to bring fairness back to the game and win the right way I would have loved that arc for Raj
For the record, I’m actually happy for Wayne, he may be pretty fucking stupid, but that’s what makes him so hilarious
Am I one of the people who was surprised, but didn’t complained at all that Wayne won in the end? He had one of the most surprising and hilarious ways to win in my view, pretty much period.
Edit: and he was the only one who didn’t use manipulation…like at all, so it made sense why some people would root for him to win
So funny how different the reactions to the winner have been . I like Wayne but I don’t think I would have chosen him to win but it doesn’t bother me. I think because they had a serious winner last season I guess they wanted a joke winner this season. Oh well at least the nicest guy in the cast went home with the money I guess. He is a pretty mid winner to me. Won last time Damian and MK were the two best characters this season. (Robbed)
honestly i thought RAJ would be in the finale at least between them but it ended up being wayne like bro... but always the nice characters win so it makes sense

Been a TD fan since 2009 and this has to be the WORST winner in the show history. At least other controversial finalists like Owen and Beth were relevant and had interesting interactions in their seasons. Wayne literally did NOTHING in 13 episodes apart from being stupid

I do watch a lot of big brother, and a lot of the seasons that sucked are the ones where the winners don’t deserve it

Finally someone that agrees with me. Wayne was a floater the entire season and should not have gotten as far as he did, let alone WIN the season. (He should of gotten out during the pinball ep where Zee got eliminated) If they REALLY wanted a Hockey Bro to win they should of chose Raj. I clocked out of this season after watching Damien get eliminated anyways
