it's hard to imagine what my life would be like without Pearl Jam.. and this amazing one of a kind life changing song.. Peace.. love and Pearl Jam.. FOREVER!
theyre not so bad still if you go see them on tour now like i have 4 times already on this tour. . .2 more at fenway coming in august! but yes this is an incredible performance
@@ryanchoke yes, their shows are almost an out-of-body experience. The love of the fans and the unity and immediate brotherhood being in the PJ family is surreal.
I retract my last post. I've always considered myself a PJ fan since '92 but have never heard this song until Lost Dogs....what a trip. Thanks for this post! This is the best version I've ever heard...I feel like I've struck gold....there is NOTHING like Pearl Jam live.
This is a very special PJ song. Makes me drift away and dream. Have been loving and treasured it ever since I heard it for the first time, back in 1995.
Paint a picture, using only gray Light your pillow, lay back, watch the flames I'll tell a story, no one would listen that long It's hard to imagine, it's hard to imagine. In my opinion, best track not on a studio release better than Ledbetter, State of love and trust, Breath & Footsteps. How this song didnt make it on to vs. blows me away
I love the words to wash.. man, there isn't much he's written that I don't like, except for that new sjw crap song.. I'm 45, and everything has resonated with me that they have written.. but as he gets older, Eddie's becoming a little snowflake ..that new song is horrible just horrible... and lightning bolt I don't know it was okay,? just seems like there getting into the Bruce Springsteen years or something anyways peace..
Oohh my goodness I absolutely love It's Hard To Imagine, they don't play it very often, this performance is excellent!! I've watched a hundreds of Pearl Jam concerts all eras and rarely play Hard To Imagine, thank you for sharing this, 😊💓🤘✌️
I'm born in 1963. I have listened to everything n rock from led zeppelin to Greta von fleet. This performance is just unparalleled. Maybe better than Eddie's unplugged. Only word to describe it is tears of joy.
Love this song....love this full album. Wow...lost dog is probably now my favourite album of this band....and this song, the whales song, Christmas time, yellow Ledbetter, the song dedicated to aic singer, footstep....beautiful songs...great album
They got rid of dave because he was a conservative gun nut from Texas and his worldview did not coincide with the rest of the group. 1 nite on stage while performing eddie used to hit Dave's symbols with his hands and dave waited for ed to strike 1 and dave smashed the symbol perfectly before ed struck and sliced Ed's hand open purposely. That was the straw. All the ppl that whine about dave look like idiots . Dave def was the best drummer they had but his absence means nothing. This band will always be about Eddie's creative genius and unparalleled barratone vocals. Stop whining you look pathetic.
Sound exactly as the original...PJ maybe is the few bands capable to do this...actually normally in live concert sound far better than the original. Great band...wow
I absolutely love this song. Gives me chills every single time that i hear it. I can't remember which was the officially released version, but i used to have 2 versions of this song, with slightly different lyrics. One started 'paint a picture, 40, shades of grey' and the other was 'paint a picture vision, all in grey'. Can anyone shed any light on that for me please? I've lost the disc that i burned them to years ago, and have long since also lost the files, but would like to have both versions again as i remember them being (aside from the lyrics) subtly different.
+gmon78 The original was in Chicago Cab Soundtrack as far as i know, this is the alternate version and although i usually prefer originals, this one shines in quality.
Thank God for CZcams...the only operational time machine in existence. Flux capacitor, fluxing.
You’re damn right!!!
Check the dilithium crystals 😂
30 years ago tonight, and by far the very best version of this song to have ever been played. There's no other that even comes close.
agreed. stunning
I can watch /listen to this ten times in a row, riveting emotion.
Best live version. Perfection.
the final "ooohhh" was epic and very emotional
love this version
Perfect drummer!!!
I was there. 19 years ago. I can't believe there is footage. I was standing on a milk crate in the very last row in the balcony.
That’s sounds like an amazing experience. My dad gave the the cd for this concert on my birthday and I swear I’ve listened to that cd everyday since
Now it's almost 30 years ago. Gadzooks.
Hits the snare drum so hard!!!! Dave!!!
Oh my, this version is out of this world
What a drum sound man!! Love you Dave.

Draven Aylesz so many great ones. I'm partial to Wash
I dont know dude. Footsteps acoustic version on the Jeremy single is pretty damn incredible. But I do hold this song in very high regards.
good call. ill go... SOLAT, Footsteps, Hard to Imagine, Wash, Breathe

The Chicago Cab version is superior to the Lost Dogs version. Eddie changed the lyrics and they don't flow as well
what? this was in 1994, he is right
so Abruzz's widowers came to cry to this vid?
Yup, he's the only one to make it sound like this.
