A MANS BEST FRIEND. THE MOST FAITHFUL AND LOYAL FRIEND ANYONE COULD WISH FOR. I LOVE EVERY DOG. THEY GIVE UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.
My dad passed away in February of cancer, and his dog didn't leave his side for almost 2 weeks straight. We had to pick her up to bring her outside and bring her food to her, or she wouldn't eat.
I adopted a Golden Retriever of unknown years and unknown abuse. He became my best friend. He was there for me through tough years of cancer treatment, divorce and teenaged kids. He wouldn’t walk with anyone else when I was sick in bed. I had him for four years and he died at the end of my cancer treatment.
I'm so sorry of his passing. Animals are the best companions. i'm a widow with a beautiful & loyal cat

When my Dad entered hospice, he had the choice to be in a facility or be at home. He wanted to be at home with his dog Cody and be in the room he had shared with my Mom for 53 years. My Dad was able to pass away peacefully with his dog Cody next to him and Cody's teddybear on his chest. ❤💗❤💗

I have been really sick lately but my 3 beautiful pups have been keeping me company 24/7! I just love my babies so much. 🐶🐾

We had a rough collie that was the largest in his litter and last to find a home - ours. We were older but we just loved him. We had him 13 years when he started having trouble with stairs. We were now both also 13 years older and it was difficult for us to carry him up stairs, to put him and take him out of our cars, and to lift him onto the grooming table, and into our RV trailer. We were worried when we stumbled over him more as he was not quick anymore to move, and we were not always certain on our feet either.
We still loved him dearly but because we were all old together it was so difficult for all of us. We finally had to have him put to sleep when he was starting to be in pain. We were no longer able to afford yet more medicines for him being we now on pensions, and were getting too weak to continuously carry him. We did not want him to suffer in pain just for us and our fear to lose him, so instead we talked to the vet, and since there is no cure for old age, it was agreed to allow him to go peacefully. It hurts when your best friend gets old, and you are too old to help them anymore. So not all elders should have dogs because it can be very difficult.
We often thought and feared what would become of him if something happened to us first. We had no family who wanted to take on a large, older dog so I suppose we have all the good memories, and we were there for him right to his end. He is now buried in the yard, under a rose bush and blue forget-me-nots. We miss him every single day.
I understand completely. God bless you for caring for him for so long. You gave him a good life! ❤
Years ago I went travelling for a year & my parents looked after my dog. My Dad who “never” wanted a dog 🙄 LOL made my dog toast with butter every morning! Needless to say the dog was put on a diet by the vet before I came back. He loved that darn dog so much. 🥰
I always get called a weirdo when I tell people straight and tell them Dogs are the best you go to buy a puppy or puppies upon getting home it doesn't take long before ypu realise you've bought COMEDIAN 🤣 huge respect to all my fellow woof woof adorers 😊

I am the proud grandma of a German shepard named Bailey Marie. My dog Bubba is a lil jealous but he helped me through cancer treatments and she helped my daughter through loss of her 14 yr old dog

I often find myself thanking our ancestors who through them wolves some food and bones and had our awesome ancestors not we probably wouldn't be so close to our fluffy 4 legged children. Humans and our dogs were meant to be like apple pie and custard or cheese and tbe toast if I make sense no other species is as close to another as us.

I absolutely love Animals but dogs are my favourite and they are Man's best friend. My younger brother has an American Akita called Suki who is 4 years old and she is my best friend in the world, she means the world to me. I am almost 60 years old and I am registered disabled here in England, and when she visits me with my beloved brother who is my carer she spends a lot of time with me. The only humans that I have any time for are people who love Animals like me, military Veterans and those serving in His Majesty's Armed Forces of the UK. 💂♂️💂♂️🇬🇧🇬🇧🏴🏴❤🐕🐶💙💛🇺🇦🇺🇦
