It s indeed helpful, but is there anybody going to be at the back of the truck telling you when to stop so you don't hit the rear cones as in the video? I doubt it. It's all about feel and instincts when you're on you own in addition to the guidelines shown here.
This video is 2 years old and I JUST GOT MY CDL YESTERDAY. This was the most clear concise method to parallel parking i ever saw. I only got to practice twice at my CDL school and this video is what really saved me. Great job explaining. Much love from NYC. BTW in NYC we were not required to dock park-- we only did driving fwd, reversing, offset, and parallel parking for our basic skills test.
Best video of explaining how to back very clearly. VERY glad I found this! Extremely helpful. Please make another video that doesn't cut off the alley docking. Thank you!!!
only problem is his bumper is passing the curb. if there was a light pole there(or person) he would have hit the light pole. i failed my cdl years ago for that reason.
I think I need to start studying to get a class b and leave all these Warehouse production jobs alone. I like to drive anyway. I drove for years for a hotel before covid destroyed the hotel and airline industry.
@@jonny8709 valet but we we had shuttle vans to pick up flight crews from the airport to go to sleep and back up to work the next day as well as them and guests to go out local places to eat and enjoy themselves. personally i love to drive still but for a job i dont think so anymore. it was good then but i dont think so now.
Can you please post the remainder of the alley docking video or release another one please. This would be a one stop video for skills if it were completed. Thank you so much for the current instructions and tutorials. I truly appreciate the knowledge sir.
@@Jordan-zt9ib I practiced on my own watching videos and I had access to a commercial vehicle at my jobs yard....and I passed first try..i would say it was the constant practice repetition, on my days off i would write down the whole pre trip .and say it out loud until i memorized it . then when access to the vehicle i would do the pre trip , incab, airbrakes, and parralell , alley dock , etc. I would set up my own cones....u gotta really want it .
If you take it in an auto, you will have a restriction on your CDL which can be unfavorable when potential employers are thinking about hiring you and have manual granny vehicles in their fleet. Just smthng to keep in mind.
passed my parallel parking test just by watching this video ... got my CDL B... this video is GOLD
thats my biggest challenge
David Martinez was the pre trip hard

How do you come within 12” of the cone directly behind you? What does the driver use to gauge that distance?

Lovely
But can you do this with a class A truck???
Can you send the alley dock back parking the video cut off
Do you have 90degree dock parking
Wish the dock parking didn’t cut off.
Hi where can I find the other part of this video if somebody can tell me please 🤔
Is the class b training and road test in auromatic trucks or manuals? I don't wanna drive manuals
It’s whatever transmission the vehicle has your bringing to the test, hope this helps

good
I have the class B, this video I recommend
Wat manuevers did you have to perform?
thax brother your video watch my licsans complit
Can I do it if I dont have depth perception
You could with some practice, the bigger issue could be field of vision and vision screening for the DOT physical. Good luck!
How much space is measured within those cones? Is it 18' on each side like you mentioned plus the truck's length?
I have my class b permit.. so this what I’ll be doing on the test
Hey Akeeya!....... Are you in MD, DC or VA?.... You have to complete a Pre-Trip inspection before doing the skills test.

Im in Maine,, is this actually on the skills part?? And the dock park??
@@joemay8351 yes can not break the plain of the cones
Where are u located and do you have a school near North Carolina.
Hello Derrick……. We’re located in Maryland and I don’t have a location in or near N.C.
I passed my class B on the 1st...
Only got the skill test and driving test and i will have my cdl
The back of the truck crossed the line. I failed because of that in NY. I guess I should have watched a different video.
I'm worried about that too,Instructor said don't let the rear cross the line when backing, the guy in this vid did that several times.
I mean it takes alot of practice you got to do it over and over.
You can't brake the plain of the cone in ca you would be a failure
He will fail in nyc. His bumper is out of bounds.
You’d have failed in Ohio. You encroached the line. Terrible video
