@@Fin_The_Shark Honestly sometimes it works. The director just has to use that fact and be mindful of it. I’d say a perfect example is his portrayal in Moana. He’s still playing the Rock there, but he fits the character like a glove. It’s the same thing with Ryan Reynolds, and his seemingly perfect character role “Deadpool”.

With Arnold, it is actually believable because at the time not only hollywood but almost everyone looked down upon bodybuilding. I believe the only other actor at the time who liked bodybuilding was Christopher Reeve and he in no way had a build that could be compared to Arnold. Arnold did not look like the type of guy who could become a major movie star. Look at all the other actors of the time. Even action movie stars were not buffed up. They were slim. However, nowadays, the landscape of Hollywood has changed. In fact, being buffed up is a prerequisite for the type of films that dwayne does.
He is sincere, and what I love about him as a person is humility, he still will joke with his fans. I remember working for Disney and he greeted us all with ease and I was like omg, the rock!!!

Well it's also a complete lie. The truth is that the WWE owns the rights to the character known as "The Rock". They own his likeness and his name. And WWE insisted he stop using that name after he left pro wrestling under threat of legal action.
He got back into pro wrestling a little while later which was when he started going by the rock again. But this is him just changing the story to make WWE look better and some unknown Hollywood producer look like the villain.
