I have 5 ranks playing in my home. I feel in love with these as a early teen. Now at 73, I thank goodness that I can play. Thank you for what you have done.
I grew up enjoying the Mighty Wurlitzer @ Paramount Pizza Palace in Indianapolis. I was pleasantly surprised to find Whistle Stop Pizza in Mesa, AZ a few years ago. There is nothing like the sound of this beautiful instrument! Thanks for publishing this wonderful piece of reclaimed history!
You need to take a trip to Organ Stop Pizza in Mesa Arizona to see the Mighty Wurlitzer Organ they have expanded to 80 ranks of pipes and converted the relay system to electronic. At the very least you could find out people to help you with your restoration.
That is so awesome I would love to go to one of the concerts there but I don't live in near there. 😞 So amazing and so worthwhile to continue. A true, true American legacy that carries with it all of our cinema. That is John Williams before there was a John Williams, think of that.
It's not the largest, although a beautiful instrument, the one on the boardwalk in New Jersey has 33,112 pipes, 449 ranks and 7 manuals. So it's 5 times smaller than the largest, I would say.
The largest organ in the world is “Midmer-Losh Pipe Organ” in Boardwalk Hall Auditorium in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The pipes are embedded into the walls of the Auditorium. The organ has 7 manuals, 449 ranks, 337 registers and 33,114 pipes

"World's largest theater organ?" The Wannamaker organ in Philadelphia, PA has almost 39,000 pipes and almost twice as many keyboards.
The Wannamaker is not a theater organ.
@@Tadfafty and it's only about 28,600 anyway, not 39k.
The Wannamaker is like a symphonic organ, that has both classical and theatre ranks, I think.

@@davidc1450 yes, but a large part of it remains unusable. Wanamaker is still the largest playable organ in the world.
Yo, when the wind basses hit, my ATMOS system LFE shook my house......and its a concrete foundation
I'd just like to play it!
Does it have MIDI? Isit MIDI synchronous with the player piano?
Pull out all the stops
Plays Finlandia 🥲 2:10
How many ranks?
Ninety. And I'm not sure that even includes celestes.
Did I hear a tiny piece of Sibelius music...😊
Be still my soul
Everybody thinks they have the biggest organ.
The Wanamaker organ in Philly and the organ in Atlantic City might have a voice in that particular composition. (Organists will recognize the pun.)
