To all the other creators out there, I completely understand how frustrating trying to grow a channel can be. Especially when you see other channels that have a fraction of your content and they have thousands or subscribers and millions of views. At the time of this comment I only have 38 subscribers and I have uploaded 58 tracks. I have been regularly uploading for about 3 months and have been only seeing a new subscriber every couple of days. I guess slow motion is better than no motion! Keep working hard and best of luck to you all!
@@akaenteng2895 I just listened to all your tracks and subscribed. Keep up the great work and keep pushing forward! I look forward to hearing more of your work!
@@dauntingdarknessmusic Oh my, thank you so much! Especially for your responses! I appreciate them. I am also digging the idea of halloween being anytime of the year and so far I enjoy them! Again thank you so much! :D
Keep working hard, it will be definetly pay off, specially if you are enjoying it, it's a cherry on the top!
All musicians out here. THIS is the TRUTH ! I have been researching about CZcams for years and spent hundreds of hours for all these information.
Maddy has given all the main points needed for CZcams Success in just 24 mins. Anybody who follow this consistently will blow out in CZcams.
Great video Burstimo. You Guys are the Best.
and after you knew this information years ago , why you only have 700 subscribers !?
@@khaledabdrabo This is my first YT channel and I was not able to post content on this channel since band members got busy in other works. I got my second Channel "Ohavim Productions" and I have implemented some of the ideas on that channel.
I didn't mention I know all this information many years ago, I said was researching it for many years. Sorry if my words caused confusion
This video should have a lot more views!!! 🔥🔥
It's definitely the best one I've seen so far. Especially because it is about music channels... A lot of the videos I've been seeing are "how to create or how to grow your CZcams channel" and the tips are good. But this is gold!! All CZcams channels are different and this gave me so much more information on MUSIC CZcams channels.
Brilliant!! Thanks for sharing the tips 🙏🏻👏
I’m an up and coming artist about to release my first song on youtube December the 10th and this video has helped me so much, thank you so much 🙏🏻🔥
ahh 1000 seems like a wild dream, but really loved the advice about seeing where people started. Definitely gives you hope, thank you so much!
Stay humble. Stay sweating. I promise it will pay off. I’m going through it was we speak. Let’s work! Let’s grow and blow the roof off this b!cht 🌌🌺🕛
I’ve pretty much ignored my CZcams channel for a few years and I’m just now gearing up to revamp it and commit. This video was sooooo helpful. ❤️
You all are changing the game! Thank you for taking the time to make your content. It really makes a difference!
I've really been pushing CZcams this year. I went from 76 subs to 481 right now :)
@@yourfreemusic-nocopyrightm350 It's all about releasing GREAT content!
This was such a useful video!🙌🏻 I’ve been thinking of starting up my CZcams channel properly for a while, this has definitely given me the knowledge and the motivation!
good luck to all artists, hope we all find our success frfrr
Thank you for creating this. You're right about old videos still gaining traction as i'm currently sitting here with a pad and a pen learning from all of your videos, new and old.
Great point, that grabbing up views, more & more views don't matter if it's not even your audience.
this was seriously seriously helpful, watched the whole thing and think you just get the point across so well Maddy. Made me more excited to just keep working as hard as I can for my music, thanks so much x Olivia
The "geeky" vids are my favorite. Very informative and actionable. Keep them coming!
@@thea158 Are you seriously going to spam links in the comments section for a music promotion channel that has multiple videos on how to promote in a way that works? If you watch the videos you will learn that spamming links is ineffective and obnoxious. You are wasting your time. Watch the videos on this and other channels to find a way that works.
Really quality points! Just subscribed. I'm starting my music/guitar channel and working on my content currently and this is maybe the best, most common sense advice I've seen. Love it and I'm rewatching again to make sure I get everything.
I love how this video is so specific to helping music artists! Thank you for all the advice! Can’t wait to use your tips on my music channel😍😍😍
Most def needed this video! Love you guys I just started and have no idea where to start! 👌This is gold
I am inspired to finally start putting my music on youtube. Thanks for sharing your tips!
Thank you for this is a brilliant video! It’s all so true and your channel just keeps getting better. Yours and Damian Keyes channels are brilliant! I couldn’t agree more with using CZcams. Starting it is one of the best things I’ve done. Yes it’s hard work to get it going but when it starts it’s so rewarding because you can see it growing and your hard work is paying off. I’ve also found a new passion in CZcams and making videos too that I didn’t know I had before! I’ve found that videos talking about new music work great!I’ve been going for just about a year now and creeping towards my first 1000 subs. Keep up the great content. Cheers!
Literally have watched 10+ videos on this topic and this video knocked everything out in one! Thank you
Very helpful! Thank you so much! I’ll be sure to use these tips in my channel. Good luck to all my fellow artists! 👍
I'm half way through the video & i already gave you thumbs up! I can feel how authentic & from the heart what you're saying is, it's not just another rubbish video that claims to show you how to grow from 0 to a million... I can feel you're a friend of mine talking personally to me and sharing her experience ❤❤❤ much love & respect
I make music too. I make Hip Hop instrumentals along with other things. What kind of music do you make?
Yo been waiting on this, thanks again great going
good advice just started my music channel
You guys are always the best at getting actual results. Appreciate it
What I do is video game, anime, TV show, and general song covers and turn them into rock songs. Then I will eventually will release original songs too. Hopefully I can reach more people sooner so I can do my passion fulltime
hi Maddy, The information you put in this video are overflowing and I love this kind of content. i was thinking it took a lot of research and time to create this video. I will rewatch this again with my notebook, because i know there are time that my mind is not paying attention. Thank you for this Maddy and also regard to alex and your 2 new members. I promise to support Burstimo all the way and soon be working with you when the right time comes =)
Very informative and useful information, I'm 55 years old and I just started my music you tube channel, I just hope it's not late for me. Thank you very much.
definitely not! you can start music at any age. also, i watched your videos. they are pretty nice!
I want to build my channel on covers (for now at least) but I keep on deleting my videos from time to time not really staying consistent. I tell myself that I need to improve my vocal skills and that when I finally reach my dream tone, I will post endlessly. But I guess it's a common known fact that an artist is never really happy with themself. This video talked some sense into me, thanks!
Thank you! Finally found a video on growing on CZcams for music channels. All others have great tips but don’t apply much to music channels.
I wish good luck for those who just started like me!
This is not a nerdy video, Maddy. This a video full of content and information, what is so much needed nowadays when people just use common sense to talk about a subject. You went deeper into the field! Thanks a lot for this one! This channel is fantastic and I consume it on a daily basis as study!
This is such a GOOD video! I am starting my music channel literally TODAY, and I've being going through tons of videos trying to figure how to grow - every other channel seems to be giving advise on how to grow in 10 days, 1 month, blah blah. Patience and sticking to doing what you're good at (and enjoy doing!) is so important.
Very good explaining! It is often difficult to find the right way for your own music..
Wooow! great video guys!! THANK YOU for providing such valuable information to musicians like us, it is both inspiring and educating
Wow, this is great, been covering on and off between school/uni for a while. Will keep this in mind!
Thank you for the tips, I am just starting my music channel and really need to hear this. Good stuff!
It takes time growth takes time 💪🏻 video was incredible!
That was so instructive. Thank you very much, will try to apply this. But what I understood is that I still need to discover myself as an artist.
Thank you for making this video. It really gave me inspiration and hope in a dark time for my CZcams channel. Time to go back and apply these changes as well as continue making new content!
Love the content, I appreciate you guys dropping so much knowledge in these vids
Thank you for this, I will be sure to be patient and follow these tips for my channel 🙏🏼
"Artists" and "content creators" are 2 different things, imo. Its more difficult finding a niche market as an artist or a songwriter than it is for creators following the formula.
Exactly. What she says is all good advice definitely, but an artist is indeed different from a content creator. I understand that an artist can learn to be a content creator, but that doesn't 'suit' or 'gel' (in some cases) with the personality, brand, style, or the artistic integrity of the the art/artist. I don't think anyone has an answer to this problem - except maybe spending money to promote/advertise to garner some initial attention when growing a fan base...
@@victortaylorI agree with you but i do also feel like as an artist you step out of the box into content creator the moment you put your art out into the world, because at that point, you don’t lose your artistic integrity but you do look for the art to resonate with people in a certain way, whereas complete artistry would really be satisfying to oneself regardless as it is a completed product that one created. when we put that out into the world, it becomes content for others, and when we do music videos, that also is content your lyrics typed out into an image (and the lyrics themselves) is content -- i think that all artists that want to do this as a career can make the content but the big hurdle also is that, as you mentioned, it is about translating that art into other forms and it being authentically representative of said artist, based on how people tend to receive information (from a tech and music business perspective)
@@victortayloralso also , everything is also not “this or that”, versus it being “this and that” -- a lot of artists have trouble picking the right social media platforms in relation to their style of communicating ideas and audience relative to whatever one makes content about -- and even when you pick one, you still have to have and maintain a presence in other places, because different platforms do different things. it is always a long game, with changing rules, but there are some things, notably human nature concerning understanding, that do not change and have been true for a long time. there is also data and info like this video that is a lot more accessible now, and it becomes imperative to really learn fundamental info about running ads and analyzing metrics, for example, that will help to make the line from artist to fan easier to identify and replicate.
I’m really thankful for the content y’all are putting out. Thanks so much for sharing your wisdom and helping us lil musicians grow!!!!
Amazing content, as usual! Stil working on nailing down my youtube theme, put will get there eventually. Keep the videos coming!
Thank you for this information! Definitely helped me 🙏🏽
Thank you for this. I used CZcams all the time and enjoy it so much more than instagram or Facebook - by far. Not sure why I never used it before.
Thanks so much for this valuable advice! It helps as a growing artist 💜🙏
love the video! so good! especially like the idea of the woman that posts one video for views, and one video for herself. In that way it will be much more enjoyable for her to keep growing her CZcams channel too.
One thing I might add though is that the quality of the video and the sound is crucial. I'm still not at the level I'd hoped to be at, but I'm hoping I'll get better too. But if the sound and video is good, or even the things that are in the shot suit your genre of music, people are much more likely to keep watching. I'm still working on doing this better, but yeah I thought I'd leave this comment. Have a nice day. Jane
Wow thank you and I appreciate this advice. I am a producer and I'm going to try to apply this method towards my music page.. thanks again this was very helpful! 🔥🔥🔥
I absolutely love the information. Thanks a bunch!
Thanks for informing us in such a proper way! :)
Amazing content thank you! So I've been making guitar covers for quite some time now with my own backing tracks. Now I've been thinking about doing some guitar tutorials as well as producing/mixing tips perhaps. Is that a good content strategy or would it annoy the people that are there for the covers? I do have gotten a few tutorial requests but not sure if it's a good idea? Thanks again!
You know I actually just had the same idea. I’m a rock singer, I was thinking doing singing tutorials like “ how to sing The Show Must Go On for beginners” and then do a bunch of tutorials like that and sometimes put covers of rock songs
This really help. Just started my music channel and struggling reaching viewers but your video give me ideas and move on..
Some great actionable advice by Maddy here👍🏻. Not the fluff advice stuff you see on some of the other channels.
Your videos are so helpful to independent artists like myself! Thankyou for what you do!☺
Thank you! Some ideas I have inclde, talking about how I stay fit and how it helps me as a performer, haircare and performers, and the process of creating a music single.
I LOVE how brutally honest you are 😅
I'm just starting out. Thank you for such an informative video :)
I don't know how much I really agree with this to be 100% honest... I have built a very successful channel (grown more than 50k subs in a year) and for ARTISTS specifically - you are kind of asking them to make moves that a non-artist channel would make... so I have a channel focused on producing and showing how I produce - but if I share original music on THIS channel... that video will flop. Guaranteed. The KIND of audience you build is EXTREMELY important to making relevant material. So if you make "how I make music... " or longer form videos that don't specifically pertain to your actual music as an artist - then you are probably actually growing an audience that mostly won't care about your videos.
Not saying this is true for everyone - BUT I am simply saying that artists need to be extremely careful about the type of audience they grow in making sure they grow an audience that will actually care about their MUSIC and not just their other videos. Again, if I start uploading original music videos right now ... no one will care. But I have over 3 million views and over 75k subscribers. Doesn't matter. The type of audience I have grown doesn't give a crap about my original music - they want producing videos. Not saying that's not profitable - it is VERY profitable for my business... I'm simply the moves artists make should be different than the moves you and I make as educators.
Well look at that, I'm watching this 3 years later 😊😊 very informative, thabk you
Thanks, this was perfect timing. I just decided a few weeks ago to try and grow my channel. My goal is at least one video per week. Still trying to figure out my specific content strategy though.
Here are my theme ideas:
.Parody/Cover Songs
These would be similar to what Music with Blanks is doing, but with my own style. I figured I could make videos such as If Girl Scout from Beetlejuice was set in a Pandemic or videos that would add humour to the songs. I would rewrite the lyrics and potentially make my own backing tracks. Would the monetisation issue occur if I only used say the first half of a backing track?
.Song and Dance Covers
My original idea was to cover popular songs with singing and dancing to try ad something new and different to these songs that hasn’t been done before. I would make the videos engaging to watch as well with good editing and different camera angles. However, I am hoping to make money out of CZcams so the monetisation issue with covers are quite deterring.
.Analysing music videos
This is an idea I just had now but it would be cool if I could analyse songs lyrics, composition and music videos. I would try find comparisons between the music itself and lyrics and try to find inspiration behind them, along with the videos themselves. I would try to estimate why artists did certain things with there songs using research. The main fault with this is that I wouldn’t be doing much singing myself, however since I literally just came up with this concept it isn’t that defined and I could try find a way to put singing in there without it feeling forced. I’m also not sure if I would really enjoy this, it seems cool but I feel that I might become bored.
I’m just a school kid, but I’m really hoping that I can build and grow a channel that will eventually be my full time job. Any advice or suggestions would be heavily appreciated!
Thanks
I've started recording vlogs where I analyze music videos deeply too :) - this is cool, It is challenging but we need to create our own strategies and keep changing them as we go along. I'm now taking a negative situation and changing it into a positive one. Just got cancelled on Twitter in May and I wrote and shot a video last weekend, edited last night and releasing it on June 16th :) - hope you can check it out: czcams.com/video/meqvaG7imDo/video.html

just started posting my music so this is really helpful. thank you!!

Appreciate all that you've said it honestly gave me direction as one who is starting out thank you.🙏🏿

I was thinking of re-themeing as a creative outlet for an Autistic musician. I feel I can give tips to other people on the spectrum that are in my shoes as I am Autistic myself. I would want to not only use it to serve as a platform to release my new music, but to showcase my gothic lifestyle aswell. With showcasing my gothic lifestyle, I can give interior decorating, fashion tips as well as make-up ideas for older goths. I would love to see your feedback on this :)

Up and Coming Artist from Ohio.I just wanted to thank you guys for your dedication and extremely useful information!
Well, i have 26 subscribers and i am proud at each one of them 🔥.

Super useful tips and insights. Love it!
Hi, I found your video through suggested videos when browsing. Your videos are very informative & helpful.
I just made a CZcams Channel, trying to figure out & doing my research.
Thanks for all your help. Keep it up & more power! just subbed!
This is truly inspirational, I am now determined to work even harder on my channel. Oh, yes.
You're a fantastic jazz pianist wow! I know it's your talent that gets you places... but what of the CZcams attempts done to increase your views etc in past 2 months? You surpassed me and I've had my stuff out for 9 months, but I know, no two artists/songs/talent are created equal!
I'm going to try these out a bit more and hope for the best 🤞
So much Value provided freely in this video. I kept waiting for the ebook or Masterclass pitch and it didn't come. Thank you so much 🙏
Thanks for this, it hit home when you mentioned awkwardly talking to the camera. It’s weird, I’m working on it. Lol
Hey this video is amazing I’ve watched it like 3 or 4 times I noticed you said to comment below and you’ll help!. So my problem is I want to do Vlog type videos just because I think it’ll be good but I want to do my own music I’m a soulful/90s hip hop vibe I was thinking to incorporate challenges instead of information not sure though and also should I create a separate CZcams channel for that since my current one also has music videos on it?!? I would really appreciate the help thanks 🙏🏾
Like always!! GREAT CONTENT
I really enjoyed the "Down to Earth" attitude of your video.
I have noted most of your points & will adjust my Channel to suit some of them.
Thank you!
I’m a music artist, but I was thinking of doing music reviews of songs and movies, projects that inspire the creative process. Would you say that is a good creative strategy?
I also try to inspire the people with my music. I subbed! can't wait to hear some of your reviews or songs in the future!
That's a good idea, but remember that if you're planning on making revenue from any of these things, you'll most likely get claimed by CZcams's ContentID system
Hey Jevin, if you want to review a song off my album you'd be more than welcome to.
