Thx for taking time to address this issue. I’ve been in an interracial relationship for 20+ years and I’ve seen society’s acceptance evolve over that time. We still get stares and double takes (we live in a VERY conservative area). I’ve learnt to deal with it (I think), but at the end of the day I’ve found my soulmate, so I’m blessed and happy!

I just love you two. I dated a black man in 1970 and was with him till he passed away in 2010. Yes Im old😂😂. Imagine interracial couples in 1970. But we survived every up and down till he passed away. Yes we did get married. Your children will be gorgeous💖💖. My daughter look like an Eskimo baby.😂. Keep being you. We love you both💖💖😀😍

I'm black and my husband is white. We have 6 kids....3 pretty much look white, or have an olive skin tone, and 3 have a tan/ caramel skin complexion like me. My husband had blonde hair when he was little, which turned brown as he got older, and he has green eyes. We have 1 daughter that had blonde hair when born, which now looks kind of strawberry blonde, which is so weird! She is also the only one that has light brown eyes. Honestly we had so much fun trying to guess what our kids were going to look like....especially after having the first one 😂

Amen! I think I am drawn to you two because you are teachers who are sharing their love story.. The world sometimes see us as everything except -HUMANs with real lives. Even today when scholars from school see me at the store or anywhere, it like I'm some super star or hero or something. (kind of funny)
Thank you for sharing! I am black Caribbean female married to a white American male and we were friends for 8 years before we got married. This helped to cut through some of the racial barriers as an interracial couple in our relationship. And yes I know what you mean by with the attitude in Florida with interracial couples. We witnessed similar experience as well. I went to rent a car and the white male who was in customer service, it took him a little while to come to terms that he was my husband. There were other incidents so yeah you will get that stare in FL.
To be honest I wasn’t able to come up with a question I would ask you that had to do with you guys being an interracial couple specifically. You had me intrigued from the get go…some of these I’m surprised people would ask. People are nosey lol

My daughter is light skinned but 100% black and I am dark skinned and I got everything a mother doesn’t want to hear “Is she adopted?” “Are you the nanny?” “Is she a foster child?” I was with my friend who is white and someone said to my friend that my daughter looked just like her 🙄😩

I agree. There is always a "Somebody done somebody wrong song" story or a love story of some sort. When my granddaughter and I were on a road-trip I put the radio on a country and western station. At first she was like Gigi, I know you didn't put that stuff on. I normally listen to R&B, but this time I just wanted to hear a little C&W. She got caught up in the story and wanted to know why " the light went out in Georgia and why they hung an innocent man" all the what's and why's the man did what he did. Too funny. Country music is also soul music from a different perspective. IJS Those little kisses you plant on Keanna are "Butterfly kisses" - country song.

I love how they compliment one another and they show great affection between the two and yes I believe those children's hair is going to be light colored but they will be the most beautiful children trust me we have mixed children in our family and they are gorgeous in fact I have one daughter she's 36 years old you would think she was a white man's baby she was born with blue eyes my daughter went back and reached and got the jeans from his grandmother she is white Irish a very beautiful group of black people but light skinned it and my child picked up the jeans I guess sometimes people don't think that's your child but it is my child that I gave birth to I love Dustin and his girlfriend his little friend like your grandmother said I'm so proud that these interracial couples have stepped forward not ashamed and just letting the whole world know that a change has come and there's nothing you can do about it I have dated myself a white guy and he was very nice to me when I was a lot younger I've never even told my family it just never came up so it's not a secret I just never mention it and I had to make sure it wasn't his child it was my husband's child if it hadn't been he would have been tickled to death she's a beautiful girl I love following you guys and I watch you faithfully be blessed Don't worry about the looks and the stairs some people want what you have just afraid to step out and test the waters

I have two mixed race kids and people thought I was the sitter sometimes. My ex had dark hair so both our kids have dark hair and brown eyes. They are both a much lighter version of me.

Hi, I am surprised you had that experience in FL. I live in Florida with my husband who is white and we have never experienced that. We live in a different part of FL than the area you went to with alot of people who are from other states. It is a beautiful and awesome, fun area. We have visited most of the parts of FL that you noted in this video.
