I'm looking forward to the Dogmatika Quick-Play spell that lets you redirect the target of an opposing monster's effect, so Eccelsia can sacrifice herself to force Dracrown to target her, banishing himself in the process.

Dude the Dark Cloud music at the start of the lore got me so nostalgic
Since we won't see a new archetype from this story for a while, I tried to see if I could combine the current ones into a single deck, this usually results in complete garbage, like when I tried to put Zefra w/ the cards mentioned on the monsters, or World Legacy archetypes. With WL, it can work if you take out 2 archetypes, even then it's rough.
But with these? They ALL work, and they're pretty good.
Most archetypes only need 1-2 cards in your hand, with luck you can even get 3 of the deck's game plan going in a single turn. I even fit the archserpent in there, you go slightly over 40 cards, but I expected to stretch 60.
Ironically the weakest link is definitley Albaz. He's a huge target for negation, the fusion requirments are less versatile than you'd think, especially for Stigmata dragon, and the traps are super lackluster for doing what he's supposed to do. There is a card which brings him out and perfectly sets up his ability, unfortunatley it's Nadir servant which locks his fusions.
It's a real shame how they seemed to future-proof Albaz from power creep with all the restrictions but it just makes him not work in his OWN story. Maybe they'll justify him w/ cards based on his origin, or retrain him to superpoly without discard; Gotten-up of Albaz.

Yeah, I really REALLY hope that this acts as a good setup arc so far, and we'll get more development for all the themes involved, both narratively and mechanically.
Another amazing lore video. You have a pretty great narration voice. I didn’t even think about Dracrown being a part of the story, or notice the Abyss markings on Golgonda or Albaz Knight. Then again, I’m not nearly as analytical as you are, so that’s honestly to be expected.

Oh okay, cool so the term Branded as an archetype is referencing that they're actually branded with a mark, a stigmata as it's called. , I never thought of that but now the name makes sense. Thanks Nova, very much appreciated.
One thing I find kinda interesting is that Dogmatika is an Archetype that hates on the extra deck and both other archetypes, Tri-Brigade and Sprigguns, cheat stuff out of the Extra Deck.
Wondering if the next Theme will cheat Synchros...
My theory is that the archetype is 3 tuners and 3 Synchros with the following effects:
Tuner: once per turn, send this card to the GY and if you do banish one non-tuner monster from your GY, Special Summon a Synchro monster who's level is equal to combine levels of its materials.
Synchro: if this this Synchro Summoned card is destroyed by battle or card effects, target 1 "archetype name" tuner from your GY to your hand and 1 of your banished non-tuner monster back to the GY.
Yeah, I'm actually surprised we got this Stigmata stuff instead of Synchro. Really throws off the cycle.

Man thank you for all the work on this lore !! Made me look into them and collect them !!
Albaz was a type of entity that was trying to destroy Dogmatika kingdom and his cult (Nadir servant) and then, with his first transformation (Titaniklad the Ash Dragon), was defeat by Fleurdelis (Dogmatika Punishment).
There's a lack of how Ecclesia enter in this history but, i think she try to help Albaz with something after the fight, be injuried by that and helped back by Albaz, that was trying to escape with her in his arms (Brigrand the Glory Dragon).
In the same fight against the Dogmatikas, the Tri-Brigade guys enter in the fight and helps Ecclesia, now a deserter and Albaz, to escape from the city.
Out of the city with the help of the Tri-Brigade, Albaz and Ecclesia try to enter in the Great Sand Sea - Gold Golgonda (i don't know why, maybe trying to find the whereabouts of Tri-Brigade Kitt) and already in, watched by the Springans (Springans Watch), being all kidnaped by the Springans machines (Tri-Brigade Rendezvous).
After all the mistakes, Tri-Brigade Kitt and Springans accept to help Ecclesia and Albaz but first, he needs to defeat the first opponent (A random ship that is annoing in the Great Sand Sea - Gold Golgonda).
After that, we know a new opponent (Springans Call!) and being fighted in (Springans Blast!), that is being released in the LIOV new box. After Ecclesia being deserter, the Dogmatika cult choose a new person to hold the Dogmatika way of things (Dogmatika Genesis).
Cool can’t wait. This is gonna be a good way to start the year.

Thank you for analyzing this archetype. As well as continuing to tell us this engaging story. But out of curiosity do you ever plan to basically do reviews and talk about the other card storylines? I'm the most curious about the duel terminal storyline especially with how they're new support fits into the storyline.
At first, I only planned to do Lore videos on archetypes just coming out. My reasoning was, other card story lines have been out for more than a decade, and many people have already talked about them over time. There's even a lot of canon information in the Master Guides, so there isn't a lot of meaningful speculation I could do, a lot of it has more or less been solved.
But I've been asked by many people to do more Lore stuff/if I would cover more Lore stuff, which is very flattering. I may cover them some time in the future, but I'd like to find something I can bring to the table before I commit.
Sorry for the wishy-washy answer, and I hope it doesn't come off as complaining! Every time I hear that people want to hear me cover Lore, I'm very glad people wish to see me do it more! I just want to make sure that, when I do it, I do it right, and it can be something that hasn't been (largely) done before. Thank you for the comment!

I guess the last thing I'll say is And I meant to say this on one of your other videos that I commented on I actually happen to be a inspiring voice actor I thought I should bring this up because I actually have done a voice acted for Maximus and Albaz before.
Wait a second. I've just come towards a revelation. True King of All Calamities has spicy plot armor.
Maybe. Just maybe. It's a bit of a long shot but I can propose a theory. I think the behemoth that we have faced countless times throughout playing yugioh for the past cuple of years will end with all Archetypes that have combatted against the Vanisher, Fathomer, and Disaster will strike the final blow to VFD. Blazing Vortex should be able to confirm this since we have cards like Metalfoes Vanisher which is a call back to Agnimazud, the Vanisher. Then in the future sets we could have cards like Zoodiac Disaster and Crystron Fathomer to tie up the references. After the remaining archetypes get there support we should see the end of the big bad dragon himself. We can already see the first strike being executed by none other than Metalfoes Vanisher noted by the accentuated beam of red light emmitting out of VFD. The other beams of green and blue light don't seem as more highlighted other than the red one.
Hopefully after this story line is over and done with people will not have to worry about VFD anymore.
We can only hope and pray that day comes soon.

I realize this question is asked often, but it deserves repeating: Why is this kind of thing not the subject of television and movies? Why are we getting reboots, prequels, remakes, and message peddling propaganda when this is an original and pretty damned awesome story all on its own?! I'd watch or read stories about just the Albaz lore in a heartbeat! And given how many archetypes there are in the Yu-Gi-Oh game, I'm pretty sure a seasonal anthology series could work.
Now I just want a Fallen of Albaz anime.
My theory is that Albaz and Ecclessia will continue to be aided by, and help various factions, while being pursued by the church.
Ending the entire story line with all said factions returning and helping them out against the Church in the end. Albaz will get a GOD Neos type Fusion summon with all the different factions resulting in an INSANE monster that’s nearly impossible to summon, like a Link-6 monster
Or a fusion that requires many different types of monsters (machine, beast, dragon, spell caster etc)
Ooooo yeah, like some kind of Tierra ridiculousness! That would fit with the trend.
Honestly, thee only thing that comes to mind each time I hear "dark purple/black holes in the sky" is VFD, Dimensional Fissure, and the Void where he was sent to (Shadow Realm? Just kidding), and each time I see those consecutively chained diamond markings are the Qlis, and those two are kind of historically linked because of the war. As for the Dragon/s (potentially sealed within the Nexus), I have no idea, as of now.
Also, speaking of Dragons, I don't know if it's just me but I find it weird that Dragon Rulers didn't have LIGHT and DARK attributed monsters. I don't know if it's a decision made purely based on game balance or what but yeah, just saying.
As for my theory about the Link between the Fallen of Albaz and Aleister the Invoker, we still don't really know where exactly Aleister tapped the magic that he used, and seeing the scarlet tinge of Albion and the Stigmata of White, first thing I thought of was Magical Meltdown. But, I will assume that it was not a bright place, considering the first form he assumed was of a beastly figure in Caliga, and lots of fire and fiendish theme, with the exceptions of Mechaba, Elysium, and Augoeides which are all LIGHT monsters.
If there's some thing(s) that reminds me of Fiends, Fires, and the Duel Terminal War, it's the Infernoids.
Avida DOES confirm some kind of multiverse, we just need more evidence! So I wouldn't be surprised if any of that ended up being canon.

I wonder if this story is tied to the dracoslayer story, given that it also seems to have tangential relation to duel terminal and a theme of dimensional incursion and dragon magic and the like.
All I'm saying is, Dracrown isn't the FIRST villian to attach themselves to a dragon from the waist down!

It is seen looming over the Dogmatika nation and it has a similar stigamta on its body
I touched on this in foeller13's comment, but you bring up another good point that I wanted to touch on. I don't really see the Stigmata, but I do see that diamond shaped crest on it's chest. However, I don't think it's related to the Hole. We've only seen that diamond shape in the story two times: Either as an active Hole, or as the second, diamond shaped insignia you can see on a lot of Dogmatika clothing/artifacts (it looks like a stylized representation of two hands clasped in prayer, and probably a subtle hint at Maximus's control of the Hole), and the crest on Bahartiya doesn't really fit into either. New information may come to light that disputes this, but for now, I don't think it's part of the story.

I think the new saint means we'll see another Level 1 Dogmatika a few sets to go. Dogmatika Albaria, the Newborn would be an amazing name for it (just my guesswork lol). Based on previous Duel Terminal storylines, I'm confident that this child possesses a way to finally stop the conflict, under the conditions of sacrificing herself.
Also this would make a great anime setting or a great D&D setting

At 12:16 you hear a really upbeat theme can't remember what track it is but I remember it playing when I met this really flamboyant merchant in the volcano on the first disk I'll try to find the right tracks then post the names for you.

Baharitya is probably part of the lore too! And probably who Albaz fused with. It's a light Dragon and in the artwork you can actually see the city of Dogmatika!

@@GoldenNovaYugioh my own theory would just be that Bahartiya is what Albaz fused with; the horns of Bahartiya and Albion have a slight resemblance, their color is a little similar by looking like the Sun. Albion also has a necklace that is extremely similar to the ornaments surrounding Bahartiya. Bahartiya is also surrounded by a lot of clouds that are similar to Dogmatika Nation's, or it could just be a storm. The town in Bahartiya's art is very similar to Dogmatika Nation if you just change the point of view and make it more dark, my opinion being that Bahartiya might be related to Nexus, or perhaps it's a creature summoned by the Dogmatika. As I said, it is just a theory but I don't feel like we should reject it, there are similarities in design that I find odd

It's funny how I only remember Dracrown exists because of this video, and the pretty reasonable speculative breakdown of how he should be part of the Albaz lore. As it turns own, Dracrown wasn't tied into anything and was just a worthless card with bafflingly effects, to the point where we reasoned there must be a thematic reason it sucks so bad.
Maybe Konami thought Albaz would be Tier 0, and this would be a good counter... before they caved and gave Albaz a deck fusion.
Now we know Albaz knight is just Fluer armor.

Holy moley. Here in Texas these stigmata cards are known as branded cards. Albion is known as Albion the branded dragon. So in theory this is albazes purest form aka the form that he took when he fell from the sky!
So after DAMA it seems like the one that did the lightning was actually Iris Swordsoul AKA Fleur without armour

The lore in this game is so much like MTG. But then again, Yugioh was inspired by it. Which makes sense. Both games share similar traits, and both target the same demographic. Yes, in Japan, the Yugioh OCG is for the same age demographic as MTG.
On the back of every Yugioh OCG pack, deck, box set and etc, all say “対象年齢12才以上”
(Translation: “Target age 12 years and older”)
While MTG says “13 and up”, “12 and up” is not that different as it still implies that the target demographic is early teenage or older. So it’s still a teen demographic. Which explains the game’s complexity and violent and sexual content in the OCG’s artwork in some cards.
Funny thing, stigmata irl are actually the injuries suffered from being crucified and much like christ they are on maximus' hands.

Part 4 starts with the "Hulle Granz Cathedral" from .hack G.U., then it's "The Ceremony" from Dark Cloud, then "Lloyd's Theme", then "A Dragon Killed In Action", both from Legend Of Dragoon.
