@@Kjf365 Leading up to WW2 the french army introduced bayonets that could be plugged into a bayonet lug from both the knife and handle sides. The french felt the need to rectify the problem about a year later, I imagine totally unrelated to soldiers sticking the rifles together permanently.
Stories like this make me totally believe some random legionary using a lance as a toothpick.

Idk if you've ever watched red letter media, but they reviewed this once. It was a legendary episode. They do a show called wheel of the worst where they spin a wheel and watch the three VHS's they land on. I believe it's episode 16. Incredibly hilarious.

I'll be honest, the Jontron video isn't bad, but RedLetterMedia's review of it was far better, because there is MUCH more to that tape.

I can't recommend enough seeing the video yourself, untainted and uninfluenced! It's such an incredible instructional video that it miraculously is just a plain ol' good movie. And in fairness, it has many reenactments and goofy scenarios, but they are depicted with high quality gore and squibs that make each scene suspenseful as hell!
Actual warning to anyone who plans on watching this film for yourself, there are genuine police testimonials and autopsy evidence depicted that are really gruesome and very sad. The box isn't lying when it say's it's a "police" instructional tape, they are definitely the target audience. Also don't watch at night; I'm now convinced after watching this that everyone, including the very sick or elderly, are all armed with some kind of edged weapon. And you can die so easily in a flash that no one stands a chance against them D:

I think the thing you really miss out on in this reaction is all the real stuff. Red Letter Media had this video come up in their Best of the Worst... all the stuff you shook your head at and said "That would never happen..." There are cuts between the dramatizations where it shows them actually happening or the aftermath of the real attack with pictures of horrible wounds. John left a lot of very real stuff out to make his cut more entertaining. Highly recommend watching the RLM version.

The Surviving Edged Weapons video is so much better than Jon makes it seem. If you want to see a great review of it check out Red Letter Media's review of it here on CZcams. It's in their Wheel of the Worst Episode 16 starting at around 31.5 minutes in. The examples they show in the Edged Weapons video are based on real life injuries or fatalities that police officers endured along with the autopsy photos to prove it (remember it was actually a police training video). The RLM review blurs those out so you don't have to see them though. Their review came out years before Jon's and puts his to shame honestly.

Although Jon's video was amazing, I still prefer RedLetterMedia's "review" of Surviving Edged Weapons. They approach it less like it's a shitty video and more like an amazingly weird movie (that just happens to be a little shitty too). They also go in detail about a lot of stuff in the video that Jon didn't cover. Don't know if y'all could react to it since it's a big video, but I'd love to see it.
Anymore DBZ or Bleach coming? I'm sure copyright is a bitch when it comes to anime. Hopefully you guys are at least enjoying them off camera if it's not possible.
